Cannot sell position players
After this last promotion patch, I cannot sell any position players. I can sell pitchers but position players all have a blank line on the Sell page and on the roster page.

I had this happen yesterday when I had no players on my reserve roster and wanted to sell a player on my active roster. I guessed it was a rule in place to keep rosters viable. |

But I have 25 players on my active and one on my reserve. The reserve roster player is the one I am trying to sell but it shows a blank line on all my position players. I restarted the game twice to no avail.

As you can see I have a full active roster.

same issue here. I only have the option to sell/auction pitchers, but not any position players. I tried via the sell screen and the right click menu.

You need to have at least 30 players total between your active and reserve rosters, otherwise you won't be able to sell anyone until you get more players.

When did this happen? I have been selling down to the bare bones 25 man active roster all through Beta, the Pool, and the Bronze before this?

That must've been a bug. It shouldn't have been allowed at all, even in beta.

Matt just mentioned that we also have other rules that you need to have at least 15 (?) guys of each batters and pitchers or you can't sell either. I think we just added that after some people were selling all their pitchers, so it might be more what you're running into.

Not that I know of. I'll mention it to the guys and we'll try to get something up.

Thank you! I am good with the rules but I never seen that printed anywhere and I have been very open from the start of beta that I kept my roster sold down so I could buy packs and use the AH to sell what I did not want. Just last night I sold Bob Gibson and said so this morning.
It is not a problem for me and I am very much against the meatballers. I will just adjust to the 30 man roster plan. Thanks for the quick response.

Good idea to just keep a dozen commons on the reserve roster, I guess.

LOL, this is something I'll never run into. I probably have over 100 cards in my reserve roster.
Every time I find a historical card when I open a pack, if it looks anything interesting, I'll keep it just for nostalgia sake. I've got a LOT of cards. |

I have no problem with a rule like that, but as of now there is no mention of it

On the other hand I think this rule is pretty useless ...
I mean, there's no limit on how much real money to spend on PP's, so there should be no limit on the other hand neither. If it's okay to spend hundrets of bucks on PP's it should also be okay to sell off your entire cards. And so I end up in the stupid situation that I can't sell the (second) card of my backup infielder from my reserve roster even though I could not even activate him.

I agree that some kind of rules/limits are okay, but only if they are both (a) communicated and (b) rational. The lack of communication has been done to death earlier in the thread; I'm sure the devs are putting it in somewhere. I also have questions about the rationale. I like (loose!) limits on the active roster to minimize tanking, but why do we need 15 position players in our collection when we don't need that many (indeed, few have that many) on the active roster? There aren't any injuries, so why do we need backups on the reserve roster? What's the harm in selling them for PP? The same questions apply to pitchers, of course.
