Thanks for the new uploading! Enjoy this fantastic roster mod in my office!

Quite dynamic and challenging baseball universe beyond my initial imagination!

To make more players with pictures, I'll send you some of my collected photos latter

Those pictures look great...have fun "working" at your office!

I'd love to see Elijah Dukes in Japan, the Japanese media would eat him alive....

This looks great, but everytime I go to manage a game it crashes. Ideas?

Chez: CPBL photos are included in the latest release.

STLKyle: I have no idea...I'll run a test or two, but I've never had any problems before. This is always the problem with big universes, the problems become complex and hidden...I suggest submitting a ticket to Technical Support. Sorry for the bummer.

Posted yet another updated version of the universe...I forgot to include the independent template and uniforms with the last update. I also included Davwms United League jerseys and logos! This should be the last update for a while.

STLkyle: I tested the universe, and was able to manage games without problem. Two suggestions: make sure your running version 11.1.8, and whenever you initially load the universe, sim a few days, and then save the game, then try to manage. When compiling the universe, I was running into a problem whenever I added templates together, and I found that if I loaded the templates, then saved them as games, the problem was alleviated. Hopefully that helps you out.

Worst case scenario, it could be your computer. Keep in mind I'm running a rig that dredges with a 1.8GHZ processor and 2 GB of RAM. My system is pretty out-dated. OOTP is known to be extremely temperamental with various hardware configurations.

The download link appears to be fine. Just click on the link in the first post...and select "Regular Download" and then scroll down a bit, and hit "Download". Might be a little slow, but it'll get the job done. I haven't heard from Padresfan, so I don't really know a better alternative. I hate rapidshare...

Oh my god this is amazing! I can't imagine how much work this must have taken.

I just have one question though. I can't seem to be able to back up the league at the beginning. It's not a huge problem, but it would be nice to know how to do it.

The universe may be too big to make sequential back-ups. The safest, albeit largest, back-up is to just save your entire .lg in a completely different location.

Amazing amount of detail! I think I need a faster processor though! What sort of specs are people running this reasonably quick?

Yeah, it takes about 10-14 seconds for one day to sim on my computer...it definitely tests the livelihood of your computer.

I'm running a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67 GHZ
Installed Memory 18 GB
64-bit Operating System
1 TB Harddrive

running on Windows 7 with an ATI Radeon HD 5450 1 MB Video card on an 23" Dell P2310H Monitor...

It takes about 3-4 seconds to complete 1 day sim with every thing set to high....saving all game logs and boxscores....also I am using the extra teams that were included with the database.

18 GB of RAM...wow! I didn't even know that was possible.

Also, thanks to Padresfan to hosting this!

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. Works just fine.

I do have another question though, what would you recommend be done about the hidden (ghost) players? There's something like 16,000 "Joe Unknowns" at the start of the game. Personally, I just deleted them all and unchecked the "use hidden players" option. I hope that won't mess up the "universe".

Oh, and when I import the indy leagues after about 2 years, the rosters are already empty, which is great, since they help absorb the mass amounts of free agents. But in your instructions you said to delete the fictional players in those leagues. Are there some players I'm missing? I even exported the rosters for each league and viewed the .txt files, and they're completely empty (apart from the real-life universe free agents of course)

Not sure if this will help, but remember that the universe is gigantic.

You might be saving too many game logs, box scores, etc.

Another thing is the autoplay display, under "Game Preferences". Setting it to the "faster" view makes it go faster, and could maybe prevent the crashing.

It crashed for me a couple times too before I decided to save no box scores and game logs.
