Australian Names

Australian names are all too similar, except its using names that aren't even common in Australia, you might as well just copy first names from america into Australia because no one in Australia is called Jai or Zacheriah: confused:

Jai Courtney is no longer Austalian? Nor is Zachariah Matthews?

I'm just teasing. But for real, it's not that hard to make your own names list if you don't like what OOTP provides. In fact, you could just go into your world_default.xml file and change:

Quote:
<NATION id="12" name="Australia" pop="22577728" lid="28" capid="77266" gender="0" bbqual="4" abbr="AUS" dem="Australian" time_zone="9" observes_dst="1">
<ETHNICITIES>
<ETHNICITY lid="4" pct="7" />
<ETHNICITY lid="28" pct="93" />

<ETHNICITIES>
<ETHNICITY lid="0" pct="100" />
and you're golden!

"Jai" is actually a top-100 name for boys in Australia:

Jai
A Hindi name which means “victory”, it can apparently be pronounced either JAY or JY. Jai has been in use in Australia since the 1970s. Jai Abberton is a former pro surfer who is a member of the notorious Bra Boys Gang. Jai Koutrae is an actor who’s appeared in several popular soap operas. Jai Ayoub plays rugby for Western Harbour. Jai Larkan is the lead singer of folk-rock band, The Wishing Well. Jai Taurima is a retired athlete who won silver at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. Lots of guys called Jai! It’s currently #98 in Victoria and #95 in South Australia. It only ever seems to have charted in Australia.
