The St. Louis River Walkers have announced that owner Bill DeWitt Jr. has passed away.
Ownership of the team will now fall into the hands of his son Brock DeWitt.
Bill DeWitt III has to be pretty pissed about that.

The St. Louis River Walkers have completed a trade with the Green Bay Long Haulers where they have landed right-handed relief pitcher Luis Angel Medina in exchange for right-handed minor league Ryan Sauer.
Medina, 27, had a rough 2026 season going 5-4 with three saves in 78 games while boasting a 5.21 ERA.
Sauer, 20, was a fifth round selection in the 2025 draft by St. Louis.
He spent his first season in pro ball at Rookie League Johnson City, where he went 3-4 and 1 save with a 5.86 ERA in 16 games.

Starting pitcher CC Sabathia and outfielder Carlos Beltran have both been named as the 2027 inductees to the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the Baseball Writers Association of America.

The St. Louis River Walkers have announced the signing of free-agent outfielder Alek Thomas.
This will be the 27-year-old Thomas second tenure with the River Walkers, as he was with them during the 2024 and 2025 season.
A 2021 batting champ while with Green Bay, Thomas spent last season in both the majors and minors with Dayton.
In the MBL, he got into 36 games batting .308 with no homers and 15 RBIs.
While he wants to be a starter, Thomas is envisioned as being a backup due to his strong defensive skills at all three positions.
