Change Minor League Team's Parent League

Is there a way to change a minor league's parent team to a different one? The field is there, but it not a dropdown box, like other settings (ie, "League Level").

One of the things that was disappointing about OOTP 16 is that minor league are still an afterthought in anything other than a standard 2015 league. I know minor leagues in the early years were messed up, but if you wanted to satrt a historical league in, say 1985, it would be nice to have accurately historical minor leagues too - at least the league structure.

I found one post from 2010 that said you could create a standard game (which has accurate historical leagues), create a template, then start a historical league in, again, say 1985, then import the "2015" template, then delete the 2015 Major League and reassign the remaining affiliations from the minors to the 1985 historical league. It wouldn't be perfectly accurate, but its a lot better than the default "throw every minor league into one giant super-league" method the game defaults to now and would save a LOT of manual work.

And that sounds good in theory, but the second you delete the 2015 Major League, all the minor league teams associated with it delete too. Maybe that worked in 2010, but not now.

So, back to the original question, is there any way to make that work - to assign those 2015 minor league teams to the 1985 historical league? I created a 2015 template where every player and coach is deleted and the league histories wiped, so there shouldn't be a problem using those template minor league teams in a different year.

Oops, figured it out. Before saving the Standard Template with the real minor league teams, disassociate them from MLB. That turns all the minor league teams independent. Then create the historical league and import the template. Save the game, then go into league settings before starting the season and re-affilicate the teams.

...but how exactly do you "dissassociate" a minor league from the parent league? BTW running OOTP 24, I don't know if there is much of a difference from 23.

Thx
