Help - Transfer iOOTP 2011 historical seasons to iOOTP 2012
EDIT 4/4/2013: like last year the needed update of iOOTP 2012 takes a bit longer. Until then it is only possible to transfer the historical seasons from iOOTP 2011. Once the update is available the guide below works the same for this year.
To transfer the In-App Purchase information from iOOTP Baseball 2011 to the new iOOTP Baseball 2012 version (so you do not have to buy seasons again) please follow this steps: 1. Update iOOTP Baseball 2011 to version 1.2.2 2. Start iOOTP Baseball 2011 3. After you reach the Start Screen just close iOOTP Baseball 2011 completely. 4. Connect your device with your computer and start iTunes 5. Select your device and go to Apps. 6. In the File Sharing section you will see iOOTP Baseball 2011 listed, select it. 7. Highlight the "hist_export.dat" and click "Save to ...". Save the file on your computer. 8. Make sure that iOOTP Baseball 2012 is closed on your device. 9. Select iOOTP Baseball 2012 in the File Sharing section. 10. Click "Add ..." and select the "hist_export.dat" you just saved to your compuer. It should now show up in the list. 11. Start iOOTP Baseball 2012 on your device. 12. Select "BUY SEASONS" from the Start Screen. Then tap the "IMPORT IOOTP 2011 SEASONS" button. 13. Done! Have fun with your previously bought seasons in iOOTP Baseball 2012 Note: if you ever make a clean iOOTP Baseball 2012 install on your device you have to follow this guide again! Palli,
Just to clarify, is this just for unplayed seasons, not those underway in 2011 ioopt? |

Yes, it will "only" transfer the information which seasons you bought so they get unlocked in the new game and you can start seasons with them without buying them again.
If you want to continue save_games from 2011 in 2012, please wait until tomorrow (sorry for the delay but I had my hands full with the roster update), I will post a step by step guide how to transfer them but you need a 3rd party tool for it.

Thank you. I'm thinking I'll finish my seasons in 2011, most are at about 125 games, then transfer to 2012, but if the transfer is easy enough i may just bring them over. Thanks for the help.

1923, 1965 and 2004 seasons did not import. I think those were the freebies from iOOTP 2011.

Does that mean we need to purchase those three?

Did you post how to bring saved games
Over to 2012? Not sure if it was posted and I cannot find it.

What Palli listed above will only transfer the seasons you own, but not played or currently playing. So, if you have completed seasons or seasons underway, I'd hang tight til Palli lays that transfer process out. Just my two cents, as I understand it.

Re:transferring seasons
I understood what he meant, but he indicated that he may post the info I was looking for today. Wasn't sure if it was on another thread etc. I'm new to these forums so wasn't clued in. Thanks for the info though.

Palli, this was so easy to follow. Thank you. ANYBODY can do this. I finished out my remaining seasons so I am ready to go with 2012. Good luck with Apple. I know you're doing your best and I guess you have to appreciate their quality control process, despite the fact that it has delayed this for longer than expected. |

I can't get the 2011 or 2012 seasons to import - every time I try to use the "import" command, the app just freezes. I've had not problem getting my historical seasons brought over, however. Any help on getting the 2011-2012 seasons into the 2013 game?

I know it's a waste to type this in here, but what the heck...anyone know if you can transfer purchased seasons in a newer game back to an older game? I purchased all years in iootp 2013 and wondered if I could move them back to iootp 2012. I'm afraid to try the method here without any verification and mess up my 2012 files...

Hi
Is it possible to transfer "normal" non-historic games from 2012 to 2013 ? |
