Suggestion
Since many of the leagues were amateur before 1900 there should be an option to make your league amateur or pro.

And just to add to this having a league "Reputation" say from 1 - 10 or something. The money these leagues can pay is always a big factor but the league reputation should be a dynamic figure in relation to league revenue, $ of contracts, and talent of players.
All these things 'features' could apply to historic play and current day. That's one of the things that ottp is missing. I enjoy in ootp changing a feeder league from AAA to ML that trys to compete with the league in was affiliated with. I'd love to be do that here - changing leagues and teams from amatuer, Semi-pro, to pro. Any word if we will have the ability to make competing leagues with the NHL? (I want to bring back the WHA ) I'm hopeing that this game will bring that "commish mode" that ootp brings...or what i like to call "god mode"

I guess I wasn't the only one with this idea.

Yes, leagues will have a reputation (among a few other settings) so in theory you could upgrade the DEL to be as famous as the NHL.

Haha! Beautiful. I'd hope for it to happen dynamically too but i'm happy with manually changing it for the first version if that's the case. Good stuff!
