There was one in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, in 2007. Andreas flew over, and Battists was the host. Several of the boxing forum guys came too, and they proved to be fantastic.

I believe there was an event in Toledo, Ohio, in 2006, at the ballgame.

What would a conference be like? Would there be any gameplay? What do people envision for such a thing? It's not a terrible idea and there are probably enough players. Maybe just make it a sim-players conference and get FM players and other text-sim types and then you'd surely fill a room, but no idea what the sessions would be like.
