Importing historical players

I have a "fantasy" historical league, with great players of every era.

I started my season in 2006. I'm up to 2011 and I'd like to import some of the good new players from MLB of today... say Mike Trout.

However, when I import Mike Trout, at the beginning of the 2011, his real stats from 2011 appear on all the leader boards.

Is there a way to import players without the real stats carrying over in the current game?

At the beginning of my game (2006), I deleted all the real stats from all the players by choosing "Erase Career Stats of all players, so that stats from any modern players like say Chase Utley or Ryan Howard, weren't imported into the game.

When I import players from the 20's, 30's, etc, they has career stats, but they are never included in the leader boards.

Any suggestions?

Seems you are clicking the box that shows stats.

Not clicking stats box

I'm not clicking the stats box, but they're showing up anyway.

I don't want to delete the ongoing stats from my historical fantasy league, so I don't want to use the "erase" stats option in league setup.

Could this be a bug?

I tested the feature with Hank Aaron. The checkbox on the import player screen is the determining factor (see screenshot).

In the middle of the season, I imported Aaron as a Free Agent and assigned him to a team. I simmed a couple of weeks and checked the leaderboards. Aaron is not listed on them.

OK. I tried something different and encountered the problem. If you import a player who has real life stats for the season in which he is being imported, those stats will be "counted" (in addition to the stats he accumulates during play in the league. This is a bug, I think. I'll file a bug report.

Thanks for your help.

I am NOT checking the "Keep selected season's statistics in player career stats."

Fixed in next patch
Once it's released, you might want to check and confirm..
