I really wish I could get this program to work for me but I am one of those guys who has never, EVER had Catobase work.
I just tried again using the new 6.5 and reinstalled to the newest version of Catobase. Tried using Halofan's all-in-one install database and then the Total Minors one and no matter-none of the databases seem to do the trick for me. I went through the ltrans file and did the   replacement and the +r to =p replacement and the first error I get when importing the ltrans file is "Type mismatch". When I press "Create HTML pages" I get "error 94: invalid use of null" then usually error 55 and the output is a nice index file with a few players files I can bring up and little else. It appears the input is always too bad to give a good output. Any ideas or do I just throw in the towel again?

I must be very stupid.
I have decided to try out Catobase. I go to www.equalnicity.com and I see all these links about Catobase, but nowhere can I find the actual files to download. Can anyone enlighten me? |

You need to download all three from OOTPdownloadcenter, install 5.4 first then extract the v6 and v6.14 to the directory you installed 5.4. Typically C:\Program Files\CatoBase and overwrite the files. Then you should be able to run the program.

================================================= I'll try and make it as stripped down as possible. Any examples will be in between the ( ) ================================================= INSTALL LARRY'S CATOFIX BEFORE RUNNING CATO www.sim2005.com/catofix.zip Unzip the exe file into the .lg/LEAGUE_NEWS_BOX folder. Run it and it will create a file called lalltrans2.txt, leaving the original untouched. Move the original out of that folder and rename this one to ltans.txt. ================================================= 1. Play your season in OOTP. Finish the playoffs. Don't click "Proceed to next season". Make sure the game is closed 2. Create a folder called "History" (C:\Program Files\History) 3. In the "History" folder create a folder with your league name (MLB) 4. Open CATO 5. File-->New. 6. Find the folder in step 3 (MLB) 7. Save the .mdb as MLB ***This creates a "data" and "website" folder where you chose to save the .mdb 8. File-->Options 9. Input: "League Directory" = where your .lg file is. "Data Directory" = the data folder in step 7. <-- This should be the default folder already selected 10. Output: "Web Page Directory" = same as "Data Directory", the default folder. 11. Check off whatever else you want throughout the all 5 tabs. 12. Apply-->OK 13. Click Import stats. 14. When that is done, click create html pages. ================================================= Make sure you have installed Catobase 5.4 --> installed 6.0 and overwritten 5.4 --> installed 6.14 and overwritten 6.0. ***You overwrite by extracting the files into the folder where you originally installed Catobase (C:\Program Files\Catobase) the same way you would install a patch like 6.11 was Last edited by andjbock; 10-17-2005 at 10:14 AM. Have you installed in the correct order? 5.4, 6.0, 6.1.4?
Have you patched with 6.51?

I hand-ran the exporters, but that didn't put the csv's there. How do I find where they went to, or if they are encountering errors?

Also, are you at the end of the season? Do you see "proceed to next season"? (Maybe SandMan can be of more help than I can.)
