In the 1st round of the Playoffs the Vegas Golden Knights faced the St. Louis Blues, after taking a 3-0 series, the VGK found it hard to close out the series and let the Blues win the next 2 games.
In game 6 the Knights played the perfect defensive game and won 2-0 with Matt Murray recording his 3rd shootout of the first round series!
onto round 2!

In the 2nd round of the Playoffs the Vegas Golden Knights met the Los Angeles Kings. The teams finished the regular season on 104 points each.
The teams exchanged wins in the first 4 games. with the series tied at 2 each the Golden Knights turned to their strong Defense for a victory in game 5, and this time around had no problems to close out the series and defeated the Kings in 6 games 4-2

The Western Conference final paired up the Vegas Golden Knights against the Chicago Blackhawks.

After winning a game each, the Golden Knights turned to their defence once again and won the next 3 games, finishing the series 4-1

Dylan Strome had an unfortunate injury but will be available for the final where the Presidents trophy winning Washington Capitals await.
Will Ovechkin get his cup or will the Golden Knights go all the way in their 1st season???

The Stanley cup final, the Vegas Golden Knights and the Washington Capitals.

The Capitals won the Presidents trophy on the back of the leagues best defense and 2nd best offense, while the Golden Knights exceeded expectations in their first season getting all the way to the final.

the Capitals entered game one as heavy favorites, but the young core of the Golden Knights wasn't scared and took the game in OT with the score of 4-3

in the second game, the Capitals biggest strength, their defense, let them down badly when the Golden Knights exploded for a 7-4 win

the series moved to Vegas for game 3 and Washington knew they need a result and delivered with a tight 3-2 victory

a few tactical changes were made by the Golden Knights GM and HC tk43 for game 4 and these changes delivered a 4-2 win

with a "never change a winning team" attitude, the Golden Knights played in game 5 with the same line up and same tactics, and that brought a 3-1 win and the Lord Stanley's Cup to Las Vegas!!!!

All the trades made on the beginning of the season paid off and Vegas can celebrate their first cup in their first year in the league!!!

the season awards and all star teams were announced today and it was a disappointing day for the Golden Knights as only Patrik Laine got an award as he won the Conn Smythe Trophy...

Thank you for posting those. A few are actually decent. I think the Dylan Larkin trade is something is actually possible. Not likely, but i see it. A few other though, the dev's need to see because there's just no way competent GM's make those deals. The Leafs aren't trading Marner for anything the Knights have right now, anything!!!

Enjoy sir. Thank you.

Agreed, the Larkin one was the closest to realistic, but some real issues in those deals to be sure. Again, not with the OP, but with the fact that they cn happen.

The offseason was short and sweet for the Golden Knights.

2 members of the team weren't getting their contracts renewed so they got traded before the draft.

4th line C Richardson got traded to the Boston Bruins for a 4th round draft

top 4 D Jack Johnson was used in a trade with backup G Subban, 2nd, 5th and 6th round picks for Carolina Hurricanes D Noah Hanifin

We had only 1 pick in the draft and selected RW Lafontaine in the 4th round

a few minor contracts were renewed, as well as a five extensions signed with core players.

D Hanifin asked for and got a 3 year deal with a 2.345.000 mil cap hit
D Werenski asked for a 3year for 3mil but ended up signing for 5 years at 4.65million
RW Marner was seeking a 3year/3mil deal but settled for the same deal as Werenski 5years/4.65mil
RW Laine wasn't gona take a long term deal and wanted a bridge contract, agreed on 3years/3.94mil
LW Tkachuk wanted and got a bridge contract 3years/2.67mil

Two months into the 2nd season as GM and HC of the Vegas Golden Knights, the Golden Knights are Becoming a force to recon with.
We had to sign D Seidenberg as we were under the cap...

The team has a great D, winning games by tight margins, none of our players are leading the scoring race but the team is top of the league and thats the important thing

Owner is very happy as he wasn't expecting success so early...

We reached the All Star break in our 2nd season and for the first time in their history the Golden Knights will be represented by no less than 4 players. G Murray, D Werenski, RW Laine and LW Larkin all got the call up to the event.

In the league, the Golden Knights are still the team to beat, mainly behind their stellar defence

The trade deadline have seen a flurry of deals happen, with the Golden Knights being involved in one of them.

We were looking for an upgrade at C too, with C Strome struggling all season on the 2nd line, but the price was too high even for a free dealing GM like tk43

Still top of the league, We will be looking to win a back to back title...

The 1st round of the playoffs is in the books. The Oilers gave the Golden Knights an early scare taking a 2-1 lead after 3 games, but harsh words and a change of roles for some of the players resulted in 3 straight wins...

The Arizona Coyotes awaits

in the 2nd round the Golden Knights dispatched the Coyotes in 4 games, yet it was a lot closer that it looks as 3 games were decided by 1 goal, 2 of them went to OT, and a 2-0 win.

in the conference final we meet the Dallas Stars, who got into the playoffs from the 7th spot..

the conference final was an easy ride for the Golden Knights, beating the Dallas Stars 4-0.
we did lose D Hanifin for 4 months with torn elbow ligaments

The Stanley Cup final will be a rematch of last year with the Washington Capitals.
The teams finished 1st and 2nd in regular season so it is a deserved appearance for the two teams...

Will Vegas repeat or will Washington get their revenge....

on June the 6th 2019, The Vegas Golden Knights offered a 4 year extension to GM and HC tk43 which he was happy to sign...

In the offseason the targets are renewing expiring contracts of core players and possibly acquiring a 2nd line center via trade...

We will look at D Provorov who didn't sign an extension with the Flyers, D McAvoy from the Bruins, RW Puljujavri from the Oilers...

free agent list...
