I wnet full install 9.2.12, executable 9.2.3 (thanks 1998 Yankees) and then executable again for 9.2.13. I think I should still have the new Lahman. Not too important right now, but I have been kicking around starting an MLB league.

No 2008 Stats or Players
What am I doing wrong? I did the full install, which was successful, but when I try to import historical players from 2008 into an existing league the most recent year showing is 2007. Also, I tried to import Tim Lincecum and got an error message saying the import had failed.

I got it to work. Somehow I had the Lahman database in the wrong folder. I changed that and selected the option you suggested and things worked lkie they should. Thanks Markus

I just installed the most recent patch. When I load my 2008 MLB game (the one the game comes with), all of my players have been replaced by different current players who, when clicked on, have stats for other players from the deadball era. Is there any chance of recovering this league? I was only at the All Star break but I had played out every single game so it'd be alot of lost time if I can't recover it.

I keep my database up to date with latest MLB changes in Rosters. If I download the latest patch with 2008 database will it erase current database or destroy what I presently have?

The 2008 database that you are referring to, which comes with the game and patches, is a 2008 MLB Roster quickstart (.quick), not a saved league game (.lg) like the one you have been maintaining. If the patch overrides anything, it will override the quickstart which is used to start a new MLB league game. So no, the patch should not destroy anything. That said, however, backup up your "database" before patching.

2008 Database
Thanks,
That thought occurred to me the next day after my post. I'm glad to find out that's the case and as always good suggestion to backup game. It's like a pilot going through his prefllight checklist. It's a must. |
