I've never counted how many times deGrom has landed in my end of season " in the dog house" award, but it's pretty frequently.
I like him in real life, so it's a shame he's one of the crummier perfects.

The Terriers finished 2nd place in a weak AC East division with a paltry 76-86 record. I haven't had much pack success in the past 75-100 packs, so the team is just kind of hanging around sniffing anything that seems interesting.

Best In Show:
Sliding Billy .293 5HR 53RBI 83SB

In the Doghouse:
Don Drysdale 9-19 5.02ERA 1.39WHIP

Packs Opened- 783
Perfects- 4
Diamonds- 29
Golds- 83
Silvers- 209

There's a party-like atmosphere surrounding the Dog Park as the Terriers sit at 49-49 and only 2.5 games back of the 2nd wildcard. Not only that, but Sliding Billy, Kirby, and little Donny Drysdale all made the all star squad for most impressive barking and focus.
I'm once again employing the old "fingers crossed" method of coaching for the remainder of the season.

We're not out of it yet! All we have to do is make up 5 games on our pathetic PL division leader Easton. We have 3 games against the (I forget their name) crappy Tigers, 3 against the terrible Antarctica squad, and 3 against Easton.

Let's all focus our energy on winning this division.

In a "look how cool of an owner I am" mentality, I'm allowing all my Terriers one free stadium mustard pump-down on top of their hot dogs prior to the next three series.
The way I see it, the more their taste buds start craving spices and get addicted to it, the more wins I'll see.

My strategy failed as we proceeded to lose 7 or our final 9 games. I'll be reverting back to the "cross my fingers" strategy for next season. We finished 77-85 with no bark and no bite.

Best In Show:
Kirby Puckett .306 23HR 96RBI

In the Doghouse:
Gabby Hartnett .233 5HR 35RBI

Packs Opened- 792
Perfects- 4
Diamonds- 29
Golds- 84
Silvers- 212

Heinie Zimmerman is having himself a great season so far, .313 22HR 79RBI.
He's the lone Terrier headed to the all-star game.
The team is 52-44 and still in contention for a wildcard. Good Times!

I think it's pretty obvious which Terrier is responsible for running off with the box of hot sauce packets from the concession stand back on August 18th....

My Terriers have decided to put together their best season ever at the perfect level!
There's still 9 games to go, but we've already clinched a wildcard spot. Technically we can still catch La Poc (despite their 10 game winning streak) and win the division, but regardless, I've never seen so much fight from my pooches.
The main paw-prints for our success have been, Heinie, Kirby, Sliding Billy, and the 'Christian Gentleman'...Christy Mathewson.
I'm stoked even if we have to square off against Everett or San Francisco.
It's Kibbles-n-Bits for everybody at the Dog Park!

I'm not even upset. This was the best season BY FAR from the Terriers (95-67). We hammered the Woodpeckers and then got swept by 24 time PL Champs the Everett Aqua Sox. Life is good at the Dog Park! In fact, we're celebrating tonight with boxes of Milk Bones, frisbees, and squeaky toys.

Best In Show:
Heinie Zimmerman .311 25HR 121RBI
Kirby Puckett .292 18HR 108RBI
Christy Mathewson 19-6 2.92ERA

In the Doghouse:
No one

Packs Opened- 800
Perfects- 4
Diamonds- 32
Golds- 85
Silvers- 214

After a brilliant season last year, we suddenly forgot how to play baseball again and sit at 37-61. I'm not surprised.
Two things worth noting though....
1. Heinie made the all star squad again.
2. We got 2k for a flyball triple play. I knew all that frisbee training would come in handy for something

We couldn't be bothered with baseball this season and went 68-94. That's healthy enough to not be relegated, but not as healthy as our freshly fertilized grass in the outfield. I wouldn't recommend walking out there anytime soon. The Terriers turned the place into a toilet.

Best In Show:
Heinie Zimmerman .283 24HR 105RBI

In the Doghouse:
Josh Beckett 4-14 5.59ERA

Packs Opened- 841
Perfects- 4
Diamonds- 32
Golds- 95
Silvers- 225

Wow! I didn't expect to be 69-54 when I logged in. I thought the Terriers were going to chase squirrels, cats, and mailmen up trees for the remainder of PT20. I've always been a Bill Veeck type owner/manager so what do I know?

Don Drysdale made another all-star team.

I'm still on the fence about playing PT21 or even purchasing OOTP21 for that matter. The past few months I've found myself much more interested playing the base game in my own fantasy world. We'll see. Maybe the start of the actual MLB season will change my mind. Regardless, I've had fun managing the Terriers and all their shenanigans. The journey was a blast. The destination....not so much.

We can keep playing 20 I suppose.
But yeah, much like we're bound to "rip in" to the actual 2020 season, there will be probably much influence to rip in to the OOTP 21 shenanigans or whatever you'd like to call PT 3.0.

I'm not even going to pretend to know what will happen in the future on that one. There are too many variables that I don't even know how they work, but seems there are positives & negatives with all these kind of minor choices, if....you can call them choices.

Honestly, I'm not quite sure what you're saying
Regardless, if I do get drawn back into playing PT21, I'm going to do whatever I can to slow down my team's climb to the perfect tier. I had a lot more fun getting there than I did once I got there.
On a side note, the Terriers lost their wildcard matchup today. All's good though as I didn't expect them to be back in the playoffs this week

Been hearing that a lot this week.

Fortunately you probably don't have to try slowing down, the hill is already constructed to be a longer, steeper climb.

And that's just to reach Diamond. PeL just might be out of reach for a loooot of folks.

Keeping expectations low and intentions slow.

yeah, if they are limiting the perfect tier to 30-60 teams, if anyone with a ftp or even near-ftp team makes it there, that would be an impressive accomplishment

You both have good points.
I'm definitely a fan of the new pyramid structure and how it should naturally decelerate our climbs. That appeals to me. I enjoyed looking at the new card list too and seeing some of the more obscure players even if most of them are silver or lower. And as much as I love seeing John McGraw showing up in the game, I think I'll still wait a few seasons to see if I want to jump back in. (If an 1890's Patsy Tebeau Cleveland Spiders card suddenly appears.....let me know.....I'll be back immediately lol)

The Terriers were mimicking their owner by not showing up to the Dog Park this season. We finished 65-97 and narrowly missed being sent to detention in diamond. I'm installing new sprinklers on the infield so they can bite at the water and have a good time. Hopefully morale will improve.

Best In show:
Christy Mathewson 14-15 3.01ERA

In the Doghouse:
Josh Beckett 2-18 5.52ERA
Al Rosen .204 12HR 53RBI

Packs Opened- 875
Perfects- 4
Diamonds- 34
Golds- 97
Silvers- 229

61-91. The Terriers have officially quit. They'd rather bark at mailmen than play ball. I can't really blame them.
