He will not see the Frogs again this year either way.

Good Luck!
Warbirds win in 4 vs the streaking Frogs.

I have never liked a long streak going into the playoffs. I do recall having a 20+ streak and getting swept in the divisions.

The Warbirds will now face the Centerville Bombers. On paper this not should be close. Jinx.

Seems to me its an advantage to have guys on hot streaks coming into the playoffs. The teams record not so much.

Fighting Saints are heading to the World Series but both my potential opponents are rocking A+ starters (perfect CY Young, Walter Johnson, etc etc.....)

Not looking good but it's a series so I got a chance.

Good luck in the PL Series. A couple of quality teams there for sure.

Frogs just fell flat (2 one-run losses, the first of which was especially infuriating) and lost to the better team in the Division Series.

Warbirds are into the finals with a solid 5 game series win. Warbirds will be looking for their 8th PL title.

They will face the Portland Piranhas. They have no PL titles but there is more to that story.
This only the 8th season in Perfect. This is their 8th straight PL playoff.
Over the past few years they have acquired most of their team, specifically their pitching staff. All of their starting 5 have been acquired in the last 3 years and most for this year.

Portland has home field, more Wins and are clearly motivated to win.
Should be a fun series.

P422: Splat

For the third straight week, after dominating the regular season, the Huntley Red Raiders stumbled in the playoffs. This time, the victor was the Poughkeepsie Singles Club, who defeated the Red Raiders 4 games to 2 in the Sub-League Series. The key to the Singles Club's victory was their utter domination of Huntley's lefty starters, Clayton Kershaw (2 GS, 11.0 IP, 14 H, 10 ER) and Rube Waddell (1 GS, 1.2 IP, 8 H, 8 ER). Good luck to the Singles Club against the Seattle Mac in the P422 finals! And what the heck, Red Raiders?

White Tigers won the wild card game handily, with Bob Lemon allowing 2 runs in 7 innings in a 7-2 victory. Despite losing 8 of our last 9 to Victoria on the season after starting off with a winning record against them, we managed to sweep them in the Division Series. Following that, we went down 2-1 to Yonkers in the Sub-League Series before winning games 4, 5, and 7 to advance to the Perfect League Series. In game 6 Bob Lemon suffered his first loss in 8 starts since I acquired him, although he got no run support.

Bit of a David and Goliath situation in the finals. We'll be facing the 124-38 Orlando Shockers, who have gone 7-1 in the playoffs so far, and have 19 PL titles to their name. We have... uh... none.

1 win away from their 8th championship.

Warbirds up 3-2 and heading to Portland.

High drama in the pivotal game 5.
In the top of the 14th a leadoff single was erased when Torrente was caught stealing. The next batter hit what would have been a go ahead triple with none out. That triple was stranded.
Mookie Betts with a 2 OUT single to walk it off in the 14th inning.
Pedro Martinez pitcher 3.2inn in relief.

Doc Gooden ( SA) vs Cy Young (PIR) EDIT: Walter Johnson is now due to start for Portland
These are two Cy Young candidates in game 6 with two Cy Young for game 7 (if necessary)

HOF Derek Jeter AKA Mr. November has 8 hits and 5 RBI's for the Piranha and will be key to a Portland come back.

Warbirds win game six to capture their 8th PL title.
Doc Gooden closes out the Piranha and wins his 3rd Cy Young and 2nd in a row.

Went 104-58 with a pyth. of 116-46 (not that it matters...well, it might in OOTP), MLB Playoffs format decides a 3-6 loss in the wild card game is it for us.

Started off with a pair of 1-run losses on the road. Was on the way to another in the third game, when in the bottom of the 9th, trailing by 1 run, A-Rod led off with a solo home run. After Trout singled, Guerrero hit a walk-off 2-run homer.

In the fourth game we took a 2-0 lead, allowed them to tie it in the top of the 7th, then Lo Duca hit a 2-run home run in the bottom of the inning and we held on to win 4-2 to tie the series at 2.

We did lead the league in home runs, nice to see it actually showing up in the postseason.

Hamtramck breaks through and wins its 1st PL title! Three teams possessing a total of 29 PL titles went down in flames in the Division Series paving the way for the Tigers. Ty Cobb 96 stole 96 bases during the regular season and led the league in hits and runs scored, as well. As a team, it was #1 in no category so I suppose it was just a case of filling the vacuum created by the early departure of the best teams..

P422: Quick Wrap-up

The Seattle Mac won their second Perfect League title, defeating the Poughkeepsie Singles Club in an epic 7-game series. Seattle won the final 2 games on the road by identical 5-4 scores. Congrats to the Mac!

Huntley 3B George Brett earned a Platinum Stick with his .324/.373/.540, 151 wRC+, 5.9 WAR batting line. That was the only piece of hardware awarded to the Red Raiders.

Good luck to all in 2068!

Won game 5 to take a 3-2 lead, then lost game 6 6-9, and game 7 2-1, so 3 of our 4 losses were by 1 run. We actually scored more runs in the series. So they get their 20th title, and we still have none.

At least Ruth won MVP. Guerrero came in third and Robinson came in sixth. We had 4 platinum sticks. Feller was 4th in the Cy Young, Gossage and Eck were third and fourth for the reliever award.

The Woodpeckers surprisingly beat some amazingly good teams in the playoffs as the second wildcard to get to the series but went flat against your Tigers.

Congrats.
