Im in 1915 and for the past 2 seasons my draft picks dont seem to actually appear on my roster. They sign the contract and i get the email but when i go to their player page I see "No Team". Even when I try to force it in the editor by setting the League than setting their team is auto changes to No Team immediately after i click my team.
Idk what to do anymore. |

Started a New Historical League, Year 1960.
In 1960 The Pirates traded for Vinegar Bend Mizell, via the following: Traded by the St. Louis Cardinals with Dick Gray to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Ed Bauta and Julian Javier. The problem is, Ed Bauta and Julian Javier are already on the Cardinals roster when you start the game. They should be on the Pirates roster, for me to make this trade. Also at Season start in real life, they were part of the Pirates organization. |

Ibid.
I'm still playing still the 1920 season replay. The season began on 14/04/1920. Following the game of 16/05/1920 I see that Babe Ruth is listed in the Team Injuries section, out for 255 days... again. No notice shows up in the Mail & News section.. again. I only a notice this in Tasks section telling me my rosters and batting orders need attention... again. Seeing that Ruth is allegedly out for the remainder of the regular season... again. I put backup Duffy Lewis in Ruth's role as well as shifting players around in the batting orders... again. This "255 Rule" still doesn't explain why notices aren't showing up where they should, does it? |

[f you have real transactions and/or real lineups on
255 does not mean out for 255 days, it means out for a few days or hours or minutes or seconds this is a bad choice of what to display made by the programmers who program the program. hopefully they will fix this due to the confusion and constant constipation it causes..

A different sort of birthdate issue:
I'm not sure what source you use for Negro Leaguer biographical info, but i checked this on both Baseball Reference and Seamheads. Charles "Flit" Holliday was born 1914-01-26 per both sources, but when I import his 1938 season he appears as 21 rather than 23. I've had a few other NeL issues of this nature but this is the first one I've reported, so for future reference: against what source(s) should I be checking this info? |

we use seamheads data, but keep in mind they update it from time to time so stats and demographic data are subject to change.
holliday fixed.

2004 Mets Problem
I started a season as the 2004 Mets to prevent the Scott Kazmir trade. At the start of the season, however, he is already on Montgomery, the Rays AA team. Victor Zambrano is still on the Rays. I

Here's a more typical birth date issue: Joe Quinn (quinnjo02) is listed at Baseball Reference as being born on 1862-12-24 (also on his SABR bio page this time). However, when I import his 1890 season, he's shown as age 25 instead of 27.

I'm confused. Kazmir started the 2004 season as a Met. He did not get traded until July 30, 2004. So, at the start of season, he should be in the Mets' minor league system. Jose Diaz (aka Joselo Diaz), the other minor league player traded with Kazmir to TB on that date, starts in the Mets' minor league system. Similarly, Bartolome Fortunato, the minor league player the Mets got back, is in the TB minor league system. The only player who is not where they are supposed to be to start the 2004 season is Kazmir despite there being 3 minor league players involved in the trade.

Master IDs accociated to multiple Minor Ids
I'm not sure if this is a known issue or not but while playing around with the historical databases, I found 152 Master (Lahman) Ids that are associated with multiple BBrefMinorsIDs.
I found them by mass importing all the players from the MiLB database into an Inaugural Draft pool and then exporting the draft pool into Excel/Access for analysis. I have attached a csv file of the records. As an example. There are two that have 3 associations: perezju02 : 1. perez-001dom 2 .perez-011jua 3. perez-014jua willike02 : 1. willia003ken 2. willia004mic 3. willia006ken |

I checked the first 5 and none of them have duplicates the value in your first minors column is the correct one and the values in the second column belong to different players
I will run them all tomorrow just to be sure but the database looks good so far perhaps the export is mixing them up

But using "Jose Alvarez" as an example, I see that alvare005jos is the minor league id for alvarjo01 and alvare007jos is a different player. The "Real Life Stats" look correct. My confusion came when I imported alvare007jos manually, he had "alvarjo01" as his Historical ID in the Editor tab and "alvare007jos" as the Historical Minors ID so I thought the game was linking them. My guess is this is a function of the game importer itself assigning the Historical ID to the wrong player? |

since the database is correct that would be the logical assumption

Jack Powell (pitcher 1897-1912) has Bloomington, MN listed as his birthplace. It should be Bloomington, IL.
