Jose Fernandez killed in boating accident
I'm shocked right now. He had so much fun playing and was a pleasure to watch.

This one hurts. He had such potential to be one of the best. The sport of baseball lost a good one today.
My thoughts and prayers are definitely with his family |

So frigging awful. Reminds me of Taveres. He could've been one of the greatest and now we'll never know.

As I said in the thread in the Talk Sports forum, I haven't posted here since the end of March (I haven't played OOTP that much this year either, tbh), but after hearing this I felt the need to come here.

Very sad news....when I read the story, it brought back that feeling of shock I had in 1993 where Steve Olin and Tim Crews lost their lives in Spring Training in a boating accident.
