Stayin' power - career stats
with over 30 years of PT time now, anyone else have some long timers who have been in your starting lineup since opening day (or close to it) and racking up crazy career stats?
Just had my first batter to reach 5000 career hits.... Freddie Lindstrom has been my starting third baseman since before I was out of entry league; and with the exception of a few season where I was training up other players, has been a fixture in the starting lineup every day.... not bad for a guy I picked up for 4000 points |

My bronze Rod Carew would've been close to 5000 hits had I not ditched him when I made the perfect level 5 seasons ago. He's sitting at 4230 on my reserve roster. He was also the last player I had from my initial starter pack pulls.
Congrats on Lindstrom's 5000! |

This is the first season where Jim Kern hasn't been the closer for the Mustangs since I acquired him midway through 2022. He has 875 saves, though only 57 of them were at Perfect.
A couple other players have been active on my 3 teams for roughly similar amounts of time, but few have had that kind of consistency in one role. At any rate, none have any noteworthy stats, other than maybe CJ Wilson's 746 total decisions (405-341). He's still being rolled out there about 25 times a season as a 5th Starter in Perfect for the Mustangs, and the results aren't quite as bad as you'd probably expect from an 85 OVR lefty. They're not good, certainly, but they're a lot better than I've been expecting...

My JD has been around for 46 years. I get him on every team. He even won the Triple Crown once. He is about to lead his team to their second straight division win. Maybe this time they can get past the first round.

Gooden (rook) & Koufax (peak) have 300+ wins. Rivera '08 exactly 400 saves.

It's too bad ZR is broken for third basemen, otherwise your Lindstrom would have a better career WAR. 5,000 hits is nice though!
My Rod Carew is nearing 5,000 hits if you count both his Bronze and Gold card that I upgraded him to. On another team my long-time LF/RF combo of Gold Bonds/Griffey have amassed 100+ WAR each and a lifetime OPS above .800. I'm sure if some folks pulled end-game cards in the first week or two they would have crazy stats now. |

Cody Live was the Starter Pack Gold for the Walleyes. He should reach 1000 HR next season while playing all home home game in the ultimate pitchers park (Ballpark Factors of .900/.500/.900) his entire career.
