Ive bought countless packs and usually dont get much of nothing. The other day I figured Id try my luck and buy a diamond pack, I came in with very low expectations. The first card that popped up was a nice lil' Cristobal Torriente, whos worth friggin 200k, to say the least Im kinda in heaven.
Only problem is no one is biting and buying him, which makes me sad, lol...

Everyone prepared to pay that kind of price has all the cards they want. I tried to move Torriente for 200K for weeks with no bites. So, I decided to keep him and play him full time and he won the batting championship with .370.

There may be others who might be willing to pay premium prices but are forced to wait forever to accrue that large a pool of points. As such, they will ultimately go for much more cost effective upgrades.

While it can make for some unique and satisfying teams (I am particularly pleased with how my 19 squad is finally coming together, for example), it causes cards like Torriente to fall victim to an in game parallel to MLB's slow free agency periods.

Yeah, I don't think I'd pay 200K for Torriente. Not when I can get Oscar Charleston for half that.

I can attest. But I also must say that I decided to buy Torriente, as well, to achieve the Negro League Stars Outfield Trifecta: Charleston, Torriente, and Stearnes

I was trying to decide if I should go for a Diamond with my Sodor team that had accumulated nearly 15k, so I decided to think about it and buy a pack or two with my other teams. First pack for Hampton Roads, out pops 99 John Clarkson! After the obligatory Sam Travis 23rd copy, out pops 97 Clevenger!

So good times in Hampton Roads!

I decided to continue regular packs for Sodor, and got 90 Addie Joss (and only two more of Sam Travis), so happy times there, too!
