This will be fun

I assume we will get another Ted Williams, DiMaggio, Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays etc

But also some lesser known like Gerry Maddox, Whitey Ford and Christy Mathewson (who was gassed and lived with damaged lungs for the rest of his life)

It would also be neat if the cards had a khaki or olive drab background to distinguish them.

They don't have to be so prominent. F.e. there were a few major leaguers killed in action in WWI.

I want a Bob Feller or Nolan Ryan card. Ryan is my favorite of all time. Saw him pitch a 1-hitter in Seattle at the Kingdome once (for Texas). Harold Reynolds led off the game with an infield single and came around to score. The rest was all Ryan!

As of Bob Feller, I met him in San Diego once. He was late for a signing and the weren't sure if he would at all, everyone left but me. My daughter worked there so we stayed and visited. Feller finally showed up. He signed everything I brought plus I was able to sit down and talk to him for an hour! That was one of my greatest baseball moments I experienced.

Others were the Ryan 1-hitter, I was at the 1-game playoff VS the Angels in the Kingdome in 1995. Mark Langston vs Randy Johnson. Langston, former Mariner ace was traded from Seattle to Montreal FOR Randy Johnson. Can't get better than that. Others were seeing Hank Aaron and Carl Yastrzemski play before they retired.

my question is for anyone. what are the different banners next to your team name at the bottom of your replys? im asking cuz I see some have banners and some have banners and then the letters like GL DL.
