AI resets team each week (due to RP roles?)

I have all the team/roster control settings set to me, my roster passes the sanity checks, and my roster stays how I want it during the week/season. But both last Monday and this Monday, when I logged in for the first time, I saw that the AI had completely overhauled my roster/lineups/pitching staff. After I rebuild my team, everything's fine until the next Monday morning.

My only idea is that this is related to the known bug that causes some relief pitchers' roles to disappear (reset to 'None specified') between seasons. If multiple roles disappear, I assume my team is failing a sanity check for not having enough relievers with defined roles. Well excu-u-use me, Mr. Sanity Checker, but that wasn't my fault in the first place! In fact, it was yours!
