Ratings vs Stats
Just a quick one here...
I'm assuming scouting accuracy isn't a factor in Perfect Team, so I'm curious how that affects player evaluation. Can you safely judge a player on ratings alone, or is there still value in his actual stats? |

I would argue that there is still some value in looking at stats because not all ratings that affect a card's performance are publicly available. This will cause some cards to regularly outperform other similar cards.
That being said, I am extremely patient with my cards' performances, as I trust ratings far more than I trust this game's large (some argue too large) variance.

Ratings give you an idea of how good a player is, subject to your interpretation. Stats give an idea of how those ratings perform against your current competition. Competition changes every season and performance is highly RNG based. What I do is select players based on their ratings and if someone is consistently one of the worse statistically over 3 seasons I replace them.
Ratings matter more than stats, but no one is perfect at interpreting them, so follow stats because they are easier to interpret. |
