Problem with interleague play after expanding

Started a career with the Jays and expanded the league by two teams. Expos to AL east and Vancouver to NL West. Following season, no interleague games and every time I try generating a schedule, it doesn't schedule interleague play, even though in settings, its on.

Is there any way to salvage the save, because interleague is one of my quirks and I have to have it?

This is a known issue. I'll let someone with more knowledge answer but I thought that in order to get interleague to work after you've expanded that you pretty much need to create your own schedule. I could never get it to work without using the real MLB schedule.

Yes you can fix it. The mods forum for schedules has a ton of created ones. One quirk is you'll likely need to have the two expansion teams in the same division in each league. For instance one in the AL East and one in the NL East. I don't think anyone has made one specifically for your configuration.

Below is a link to the files. 1st one is if they are both in the East, 2nd is if both in the Central, 3rd is both in the West.

Now during the preseason, you'll go into the League Settings > Edit League Schedule. Choose "Import from File".

The only negative I've come across is that the interleague is limited to playing the same division each year. Not ideal but it has worked for me and keeps regional rivalries alive.

If you want to move Montreal to the Central, you can probably use this one:

As with all, I'd test it first.

Also make sure you go through all your minor leagues in the preseason and "Generate Schedule" one time. Sometimes minor league expansion can screw up things and leave a team not playing any games.

Hope that helps. Expansion definitely needs some work and should probably be turned off by default by the OOTP folks since it causes a mess.

What if you restructured all the divisions? I still have National and American, but I now have four different subdivisions of four teams for each.

Again, you'd have to import a schedule.
