looks like a silver team to me. has a lot of players with inflated overall ratings that can crush the bronze wasteland but get outshone by players who really know what they are doing. guys like cain, rizzo, seager, snell, carrasco arent really that great
wouldnt surprise me if he started after the early seasons everyone ended up getting promoted and has just gotten unlucky in the playoffs. i've seen random 65 rated pitchers throw shutouts against all gold and diamond hitters before, it's almost completely random once you hit the postseason Last edited by dkgo; 03-17-2019 at 05:10 PM. |

Well, just for an interesting update...I swept every playoff series until I clinched a WS spot. The other league's series is tied 3-3, with the team I posted in this thread as one of the teams, against a much weaker team, but I'm rooting for the underdog in that game lol. I really don't want to play against perfect Sale twice in a 7-game series.
Although I did just upgrade 2 rotation spots by adding Harvey Haddix and Orel Hersheiser with the points I got for making the playoffs and selling my very overrated super-utility player, Eugenio Suarez. Last edited by Findest2001; 03-17-2019 at 05:52 PM. Reason: addition |

I was flirting from 10-12 under most of the season. Hard to be considered a 'winner' in this competition.

I would disagree with Cain being on that list. What surprises me is he hit just .270 for that team in bronze. Cain is a cheap option that has surprising lasting power, and he even managed to hit .310 for me in perfect as my starting DH. RIzzo, on the other hand, is a colossal flop at just about any level!

It's definitely not a Bronze team, but it's not a great team either.
The manager probably doesn't have his strategy settings set up right for the types of players he's got.

Silver for sure. The offense is actually pretty trash compared to my team and that's where I am. Granted, my Ding Jackers are 1st in Runs and Dingers every season, perhaps not having the world's worst D would help him.

My bronze team won 121 games, lost in the second round of the playoffs, and will be playing its 5th season in bronze. Last year they won 104 games, I don't think it's that unusual. The playoffs really are pretty random.

Yes, very random. I have a team that has twice won the playoffs with 81 and 83 wins. They are woefully underpowered for the league they get advanced to. It seems wildcard teams win a large share of the championships and overly dominant teams watch from the sidelines.
