Why does OOTP hate Cole
This is from the MLB Facebook page and it really makes me wonder why OOTP hates Cole in Perfect Team.
Does anyone have any thoughts why he might be the most dominant pitcher in baseball but not worth a roster spot in PT? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Well for one it takes into account the whole season, not his last 25 starts. He gives up a lot of home runs which really hurts the movement rating. I don't think the ratings algorithm was ready for the juiced balls and resulting looney tunes home run numbers this season which you can see destroyed most live pitchers movement ratings.
His TOTY card is not bad though |

I'd like to see live players more competitive going forward just because it's nice to have some playable current cards besides Trout, but others get their panties in a bunch saying it hurts the realism or something.

I'm not sure the algorithm can take into account how much more frequent homeruns are now. Charlie Morton had the best HR/9 rate in baseball at 0.69 and he only has 64 movement.

Whatever the algorithm is, it did not foresee, nor cope with the rocket-charged baseballs this season, which is why all live pitchers are more or less garbage.

Historical cards suffer from horrific fielding, it's only fair live players should likewise suffer from horrific movement.

It mostly like could if it used the current or immediate past year as the baseline rather than whichever year in the 90s or whatever was selected as the baseline.

Lineups he's facing are bonkers. In Perfect Leagues.
