Wow. Which Strawberry is this? Seems like really good numbers for him. Lucky.

Peak.
"With the First Selection" Reward.
Hits .220-.269 but Good-Great OBP, Great power hitter.

Identical to Stargell's diamond card in the HRpower dept. actually... even in the details (vs. LH/RH), at least with basic ratings, but Stargell actually has 31 not 41 and the disparity might be due to well, a little variance but #2 because Clemente gets most of Strawberry's playing time when there is a Left-handed starter. Interesting, Gehrig plays just about every game and has slightly better basic HRPower ratings than both of them, not to mention a better knack for making solid contact. Kinda seems like his card is way under-performing based on basic offensive ratings comparison.

Paragon City Heroes are managing to keep a 2 game lead despite playing .500 for the last month, going into the last sim at 77-58 with 6 games against the 2nd place team including the last 3 of the season, the bad news is that they have owned me so far. Spent the alst of my POP replacing Steve Busby with Curt Simmons and Tommy Henrich with Bryce Harper. hoping to see more power in the middle of the lineup now.

Bad News Bulldogs had been totally written off by me and then they decided to go 18-9 in September to move 2 games behind the division lead and in 1st in the WC race at 72-61. Mainly thanks to Vada Pinson and his batter of the month performance (as an aside I paid 900PP for him this season and he has earned back 960 so far) currently battling Pee Wee Reese for the batting title. Joey Votto has hit more HR in 45 games than any other player on the team in the full season.

Neuman Furshlugginers are done for the season, decided to blow the team up and start again with a theme, 5 gold starters, rest of the team silver, no live cards, see how far we can get , the lineup (Murphy is the Historical all star version with ridiculous splits vs righties, platooning with Bob Watson unless anyone can suggest a silver lefty killer) any other suggestions re silver players are welcome

The Raccoons are in 1st by 15.5 games (which is a surprise since the #2 team had won 112 games in each of the previous 2 seasons) with a .722 WPct. Once again, I feel like we're comparable to the top teams so once again, I have hope we can get our 2nd title. But that hope ended very quickly in each of the previous couple of seasons.

Someone put up Schilling, but they wanted 400k (and 1000k BIN!) for him which is more than I'm willing to pay. After that, he showed up again for 400k, but "only" a 600k BIN this time. I saw Pedro up, but I'd prefer Schilling so I might be waiting for a while. Maybe by the time Schilling goes on sale for a price I'm willing to spend, I'll have enough for Cy Young. I'm not sure what I'd do then, since I'd like to get a really good hitter too (I'm thinking of getting 100 Brett).

Keefe had a no-hitter through 8.2 with a 2-1 lead and no one on base and was taken out in favor of Eck. Eck got the out so we got the no-hitter, but I really wish it would have given Keefe a chance. He's got 5 1-hitters, but no no-hitters yet. Maybe his pitch count of 118 was the problem (he was fully rested before the start)? I'm not sure, since he's thrown more pitches than this before.

Joe DiMaggio's rookie card is an OVR 72 & he has much better splits (akin to a diamond, or at least solid gold) against left-handed pitching

thanks i just checked this and actually picked up the other silver DiMaggio, HH 1947 79 rated which has similar splits to the 72 but can walk, cost 1100 vs the 550 of the 72

Great...Yeah, I used him as a PH specialist vs. Lefties in perfects & for the one season anyway, he thrived. Good call on the eye because he didn't walk at all with that really low eye rating... What he did well was a HR every 18.5 AB & a solid .26x Perfects batting average.

Strange week for my teams.

My P.424 Islanders are leading their division with a 74-62 record, looking to clinch both a first winning record in Perfect and a playoff spot, both of which were missed agonisingly last time round with a 7 game loser to end the season, including a game 163. They have a 7 game lead right now, thanks to two standout batting performances - Tony Gwynn ('87 AS) leading off with a .349 avg and 81 rbi's, and DH Hugh Duffy (1894* Record Breaker) coming through big time in his 2nd season, with 19 homers and 106 rbi's so far. Ubaldo Jiminez ('10 AS) is pitching great too, with an 18-5 record, 3.78 era, and 0.1 hr/9 from the third starter position

*(the card says 1894, his listing 1900 )

My other team in Perfect, the P.420 Stunners, have had a harder time of things this year, partially due to a very tough league, partially because they were a surprise promotion from Diamond At 48-88, they currently occupy the 2nd-bottom relegation spot, although there are *nine* teams between 47 and 53 wins scrapping it out for survival. Star signing Sam Rice (1917 Legend) has failed to spark the team, though his .290/.351/.425 line with 71 rbi's isn't terrible given the lack of offense overall, and he managed to grab an All-Star roster spot. Ivan Rodriguez ('99 AS) has had an excellent season behind the plate with a 1.326 Eff., and 45% caught stealing rate, but hasn't been able to help the pitching come through.

Bob's Milwaukee All-Stars had a surprisingly tough time last week in their first Silver season, only just staying up after their final 2 Bronze seasons of consecutive 109 wins. It's a slightly better record this time, though only to 65-71, and a likely sub .500 season. They've managed a better season despite losing 93-rated Hank Aaron, with Yelich and Yount providing a solid punch at the 3/4 spots, and 3 SP's are currently under 4 era, led by newcomer Cal Eldred ('92 Rookie) with a respectable 1.18 whip. The strong bullpen finishing trio of Fingers, Hoffman and Plesac haven't been enough to push the pitching staff above average, unfortunately. Catcher Ted Simmons ('77 AS) did manage to win the most votes of anyone in the league for the All-Star game, a highlight for the club

Now, where these teams go from here? I'm not too sure. Certainly if the Islanders can make a Perfect playoff, it's hard to see what else they can achieve, and the Stunners' future will depend on where they end up next season. Bob's All-Stars will have to see if they have the PP-power to make the improvements needed to reach Gold in the near future, though Milwaukee-related replacements are not as easy to find on the AH these days

Anyone have my team Hawaii Volcanoes in their league? My laptop died a couple weeks ago and I would like to know how the team is doing. I think they would be in a Perfect league but of course I don't know. With luck I my new machine will arrive next week. Slow shipping... one of the costs of living in Paradise.

B'sin'Glou are 61-86 in P402. Non-competitive but also 13 games above the relegation zone. Just pulled an All-Star Mike Trout, though, which will help some...

The Colonels have a magic number of 5 to clinch the division. The field looks pretty tough for the playoffs this week, so I pushed all of my chips in and bought a 100 DiMaggo to replace 100 Aaron in the lineup. Aaron was having a pretty mediocre year and I wanted more contact at the top of the order. I will use Aaron as the platoon DH for a while until I see how the change works out.

I think it was atabakin's card previously. If so, I hope you can use the (net) 200pp. It looks like he was very consistent for you. I would be happy if he just keeps putting up 5-6 WAR per year..

89-57, leading their division by eight, in Perfect .406 ...
