Assigning New Coach (Noob Question)

Hi All,

So I signed a new coach one who had decent off and def stats which gave me an assistant coach count of 3. However I could not find a way of assigning the new coach to the off and def jobs which are displayed on the staff page.

I assumed it could be because it was limited to 2 coaches so I fired my worse one and now it shows no name in the off and def roles on the staff page.

Any idea?

I have also noticed we could assign assistant coach, but was also unable for head coaches.

I will also be looking for this answer.

The specialized roles are only for the assistants - the head coach is automatically given a significant influence on player development that's bigger than even the special spots (which increase the effect the assistant has on that particular category of skills or position players.)

Hi Jeff - Just to confirm the staff member recruited was "assistant coach" and I am trying to set him to Offensive and Defensive coach. The staff member I fired when I was trying to work out the issue was also an "assistant coach" and I now have the roles of Offensive Coach and Skill Coach empty?

I have managed to resolve this now - It was "user error" xD
