Peak Tim Raines is shockingly bad defensively.

This thread is about shortstops, I have no doubt Raines is shockingly bad at SS.

I didn't actually check.... but I won 140 games that season.... so there was probably some bad SS to say the least

According to the calculator, if my data is correct, his max rating at SS is..... zero.

Thought you guys might appreciate a little data collection I did yesterday. This is the results of gathering the starting SS for 3 different Perfect leagues. I eliminated the live cards because... well, I don't want them!

The greatest number of live cards eliminated was 100 OVR Lindor (7x I think) and 81 OVR Simmons (11x maybe?). There were also a smattering of other players used including Baez, Altuve, Correa, and maybe a couple of other one-offs.

For your consideration:

Occurrences is how many times they were found. If the column is blank, then they were just found one time. The list is ordered by number of occurrences, then by SS Rating.

Today's missions added at least one shortstop to the "108 or higher" list - the 65 OVR Ed Brinkman. My Senators theme team had all the cards I needed to immediately complete the mission.

One thing's for sure: you ain't putting this guy in the lineup to hit!

I loved Brinkman when I was a kid! He was part of my shortstop holy trinity of Aparicio, Belanger and Brinkman. Some serious leather flashing with those guys.
