Sorry you lost, but I agree it's better to lose like that than to go early. It's too bad, because you almost got two straight after all those seasons of getting knocked out early.

In game 5, we were down 3-2 in the bottom of the 9th when Appling singled in Frank Baker who had doubled. In the bottom of the 10th, Appling hit a SF with 1 out and the bases loaded so we eked out another win, 4-3. I fully expect us to lose game 6 so we can play the maximum number of post-season games. It's our Hubbell vs Mathewson in game 6. We'll get to have our ace Keefe if it goes 7.
Schilling has now pitched in 4 post-season games and he started 1 game at the end of the season. He's been remarkably consistent - neither great nor bad, just good enough to get us a win.

How about a double championship win?
Blitzkrieg Boppers win their gold level series and go back to back after last week's silver series title. Meanwhile...in a season of curse-breaking, the New York Patriots exorcised the ultimate of their demons. Their postseason one. New York defeated Pillsbury NoDough Boys 4 games to 2 to win their first ever championship! |

Well, that was unexpected. We bombed the Bombers 11-1 and won it in 6! Our 2nd championship!!
Zimmerman got the MVP for the series. He had a very good season which almost didn't happen since I now have Appling playing 3B. But Lajoie started off pretty poorly at 1B so in May, I switched to Zimmerman and he didn't disappoint.

Congratulations on your series wins! It looks like you might need to change your sig now that your teams are doing so well.

The trio of Cy Young, Walter Johnson, and Pedro Martinez proved too much for the Texas Phenoms. Just as they each won 24 games during the regular season, they each won 3 games in the postseason, 1 each in each series.

The Patriots are the one I care about the most, and to now have a championship with them is a huge relief. |

Paragon City Heroes won their conference behind strong pitching and the hot bat of series MVP Tony Oliva, but lost the Silver Series 4-1, just couldn't hit or pitch well enough, the heart of my order hit under .200, and Bill Singer got his 1st loss of the playoffs. But promotion to gold awaits, I have 22k PP to spend on upgrades but not sure where i want to strengthen, I'd go for Barry Bonds at LF but the only one on the market is mine from another team
Bad News Bulldogs will remain in silver after losing in the WC, but next year they should be a much better team after pulling and selling brouthers from a collection diamond pack enabled me to complete all of the Reds collections. Vada Pinson was 3rd in MVP voting but will be replaced by 92 Vada Pinson. Neuman Furshlugginers were beaten fairly easily 4-2 by the eventual champions, so can't be mad, a promotion to silver will be interesting to see how far a very light hitting silver line up can go Edit:looking through the boxscores Charlie Morton was my absolute nemesis in multiple series, the only game he started which i won was when Kell got him ejected for fighting, taking one for the team.

Thanks! We played the Brooklyn Bombers. They've won 120+ 5 straight years and won 3 straight WS, but their pitching is on the weak side. In other words, they've been winning because of their offense.

Somehow the Bombers were winning and losing at the same time. Glad it worked out for you both.
