OOTP Live Services Question
So I tested something out this morning
I created a new 2019 game with the live feature with the version of the game prior to the update released this morning. In this one, a few players were on the wrong team(meaning ones that didn't change teams from 2018 to 2019) and contracts weren't updated. Then I downloaded the new version of the game and created a 2019 game with the live service. With that game, everything was fixed. Contracts were correct (Trout, Eloy, etc.) and players were back to the correct teams. So to me it looks like if you don't create a game with theive function the same day the updated file was released it won't work properly. |

The way I understand this feature is... if you want current up to date transactions as well as rating updates you must start a NEW game.
If you have a current game going and use this feature you still get ratings update but wouldn't get the transaction stuff. Quote:

The contracts and stuff were updated in the regular game files - they aren't affected by the live update. There were also multiple other fixes to the live updating which may have affected things. Basically, for live updating, always use the most recent release of the game to ensure that you have the most up-to-date fixes

My only question is.. if you are in say, your 5th season with players that have aged/regressed, how does the live ratings update affect those players?

If you use the function, it will reset all ratings for MLB players. It's only really recommended to be used for the current season - went back and forth whether to even enable the button if you're past 2019. We may still do that if having it enabled would lead to confusion.

But Rosters aren't updated with Live 26th date.
