OOTP text file format 1969 rookie league file ready to use
Hi all,
I am pretty sure that I posted this document years ago, when I first put it together. It originated at a time when I was playing in an online league at WhatifSports. That league used all players who had played in 1969 AND who had retired in 1968, BUT starting in their ROOKIE YEARS. By rookie years it meant the first years that they had the 40 PA minimum and 30 IP minimum to be in WIS' database. So a few will be missing. But otherwise all players who played in the season 1969 and all who retired in 1968 (such as Mickey Mantle and Eddie Mathews) are in this database in essentially their rookie years. It is a text file, so you just have to save it into the Stats file of your OOTP 19 database and use it instead of, or along with the regular historical database or Spritze or whatever you usually use. It is probably best adapted to a RDL, or to a fictional one, but could be fun if you set up a standard historical or even MLB league and add these, obviously expanding the number of teams so their numbers don't overwhelm the existing rosters and fill them to overflowing. Enjoy it if it works with what you are interested in doing. OH, JUST TO AVOID CONFUSION - THE PLAYERS ARE LISTED BY PRINCIPAL POSITION PLAYED, THEN ALPHABETICALLY. SO HENRY AARON IS LISTED WITH OUTFIELDERS, CATCHERS ARE LISTED FIRST, WITH PITCHERS LAST. Last edited by italyprof; 05-01-2018 at 09:53 AM. |
