Development Reports
I started a historical league in 67-68 with the fantasy draft option turned on. I played 2.5 seasons and every so often I would get a development report for my players. The younger ones had rating increases, the older one's decreases.
I started a new historical game in 67-68 but skipped the draft and just kept the historical rosters. I'm now 2.5 seasons into this one, but I haven't gotten a single development report. I checked and I have the develop players option checked. I tried unchecking it and saving the game, and then checking it again and saving, but that didn't fix it. Any ideas? Also, since there's no minor league team to send signed draft choices to, is it better to sign them and put them on the reserve list or just leave them unsigned? I assume if they are unsigned they are playing for their junior teams? TIA |

I'm not sure on the Development Report, I'll have to check into that, but people should still be gaining experience. The Historical Game (and Fictional Games when expanding) don't have Minor Leagues teams, but the reserve list acts like a minor league team. The players should be improving. Also the check marking is when you want a particular person to have a particular stat increase in one or two areas. If they are not check marked, they are still can upgrade in the area. |

I checked the Game Options and the "Enable Development" box is checked, but I can't say for sure what I picked when I started the league.
Thanks for the replies. I guess I will sign my draft choices then and stash them on the reserve list. |
