Slooooow Sim

Found plenty of "slow sim" threads with no actual answer. Here's my issue.

Super slow sim. I guess...I sim a day or a week, and each day that is simmed goes really fast, but then the game just sits there at 100% simmed for several minutes. I have a fictional league, with additional international and independent leagues. At the start many had their minor leagues, but I've since deleted all of those minors to help it go faster. It didn't help. I then changed the game so it only saves human team info, and that didn't help either. I have several league associations as well, but I don't see how that would effect this issue.

So any ideas? I'm running Windows 10 on a desktop, with an AMD 6300, so I can't help but think that isn't the issue.

Try reducing the frequency the game has to save. There is an option to do that in one of the league settings screens.

Check league file size.

Check what processes you have open, It is really easy to have a bunch of junk running at start up. Somehow I ended up with Skype and other programs that were running from start up. These can screw up memory allocation.

I figured it out. The problem had to do with too many leagues that were either Major League or International. Changing them all to Independent Leagues solved the issue, and sim times are much, much quicker.
