Any way to simulate single game matchups?
Is there any way to simulate single game matchups?
For instance: 1) I want to simulate the 1975 Philadelphia Flyers versus the 2016 Pittsburgh Penguins. 2) I want to simulate the result of tonight's games (being able to update rosters/lines/etc). 3) I want to be able to simulate a game between an NHL team and a KHL team. Is it possible to do any of these or is the game entirely just a GM "franchise" mode? |

Not yet, but it's definitely something I want to do. For historical teams, it's a little complex because of the way information would have to be extracted from the database; we'd probably have to do some restructuring of the way that's currently set up, so it's a moderately large task to get it done. But certainly worth doing, I like the single-game mode in OOTP.
#2 is a little more complicated; real-time rosters are something we've looked into, but the kind of data service we'd need to make that possible isn't cheap. |
