Cash max is pulling from the era file just like finances. That's why I have no idea what the problem is. Everything appears to be fine, it's pulling the same data that a normal historical started in that year would but for some reason the whole thing explodes. The OP said teams were in the red by millions or more, obviously turned off the cash max then... but the problem I saw was they went in the negative with defaults, and for the most part stayed sitting there at the cash max negative for years.
