Good idea for a dynasty report.
If you have a good map and good graphics... EC would follow it.

Put a team called the "Sandlotters" in it... from the movie "Sandlot".

Or maybe the "Bad New Bears" and the "Goonies".

You could also include the "Gashouse Gang"... the Dizzy Dean-era St. Louis Cardinals.

How about "Three Stooges"... "Dead End Kids".. include the names of all the movie characters as players... Moe Howard, Curly Howard, Larry Howard... Slip Mahoney, Louie Mahoney, Horace Debussy "Sach" Jones.

New to my collection, the Andros Islands Baseball League. I am going to write about this league once I get minor leagues sorted and the nation made up. I love these circular logos. Very simple and colorful. Look great in game as well.

I could use some help with names for these locations. I am thinking a mix of old English names and some Spanish thrown in for some variety, something like San Isabella could be the capital or something like that.

Andros is a seafaring nation, steeped with long history of captains at sea, skirmishes with pirates, natural inland beauty with all sorts of wildlife and the first modern sport on the island, baseball. The towns/cities are old and rustic, as technology has not entered the world of Andros. Settlements began to establish on the eastern coast. The population of Andros ballooned over the next ten years as word spread of a beautiful paradise. Outsiders soon built up coastal forts armed with large cannons to defend their new holy lands from attacks by the bootleggin' seafarers.

Baseball was brought over by the first group of travelers, weary from the sea. The native Andro people traded food for sport and offered refuge to any new arriving sea vessels in need of a safe haven from the unruly cross boned pirates on the west coast of the island.

Not sure on geography or size of Andros, I guess we can work on that as well.

Any help would be welcomed

For certain team locations and nicknames so far:

North Division
San Isabella Seafarers

South Division
Baytown Tarpons

Suggested by TWiseman: English north, Spanish south

Coventry Crows (Getting reworked)
Mersey Rivermen (reference to the Mersey Ferry)
Portsmouth Piranhas
Salisbury Sea Dogs
Wessex Warriors
Brittany Leopards

Gauchos de Granada/Granada Gauchos (Gauchos are South American cowboys)
Armada de San Isabella/San Isabella Armada
Buscadores de Castille/Castille Buscadores (Prospectors)
Garzas Azul de Leon/Leon Blue Herons
Bucaneros de Tortuga/Tortuga Buccaneers
Steelheads de Murcia/Murcia Steelheads (Getting reworked)

Sizeman21, really like your absolutely beautiful Andros Island map... it is excellent in all respects... you are good, my friend.

Thanks again for my fine map of North and South Islands.

Give me the nicknames of the teams and I will see what town names I can come up with... I could guess, but it would be easier if you gave the nicknames for all of the logos... a few I'm not exactly sure what they are.
Use my suggestions if you like... no offense if you don't.

I'm really looking forward to following you dynasty league... I know it will have fine graphics and a good storyline to follow.

I think you will enjoy a small 12-team league... over time you can really get immersed in a small league... I really like my North Island and South Island dynasty leagues.

Hi guys, this is the nickname list, north division to south:

Riverboats or Rivermen
Crows
Piranhas
Jaguars or Leopards
Warriors
Sea Dogs/Cross Bones

Buccaneers
Desperados or Deputies or Gunslingers
Miners or Nuggets or Ore Diggers or [insert generic nickname here]
Tarpons or [insert generic nickname here]
Blue Heron
Privateers or Seafarers or [insert generic nickname here]

If you have your own ideas for anything, please let them be heard, I am thinking more and more this could be a cool group project or something.

I don't have much else in terms of backstory for Andros yet as I thought of it moments before the original post, so it is still very much in pre edit mode.

I'll be around as I have nothing to do for the remainder of this sad epidemic.

Should San Isabella be one of the towns in the central part of the country?
The capital is usually in the central part.

I like the name San Isabella Seafarers because of the connection to King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella in the Christopher Columbus story.

But the capital city probably would not be in the outer islands.

Agreed EC, good call. I will switch a north division logo with the seafarers.

San Isabella could be on the coast in the central part of the country... that way Seafarers would fit.

Do you want the north half of the country to be English and the south half Spanish?... or vice-versa?

Or do you want the English towns and Spanish towns all mixed throughout the country?

Am I making this too complex? Let me know, if so.... I can do that sometimes.

EC, these are all good points to think about. San Isabella should be settled on a coast, likely the first settlement on the island, thus solidifying the nickname of the team. The island could be divided like the Haitian/Dominican Republic island is in the Caribbean. Maybe the Spanish and English made a pact with each other for rights to half of the island.

Keep going on this idea, I like your train of thought.

Middletown, Middleport, Midnight Isles, or Midnight Bay for the team with the M on the hat? Just a few suggestions here you might consider or not, as you like? CD out.

Good names! Depending on which nation ends up claiming this side of he island, I might use one of these for the Corsairs/Buccaneers/Raiders logo.

General post for group of editors:

I am switching crows out for a more tropical or fishy/aquatic creature nickname.

Suns, Waves, Surf, Sirens,Dolphins, Kingfish, Sharks first come to mind.

I can look in my logo set for more, but I am open to suggestions.
