The Giants have Frank Viola going against the Pirates and Tim Englund.

I did not start.

I took over defensively in the 6th, with the good guys up 6-1. Andy McGaffigan was pitching.
We finished off the inning with a Priske - Wellman - Cockrell double play to get Sid Bream and Jody Davis out.

Chili Davis led off the 7th with a single and ended up scoring on a Bob Brenly single.

Giants lead 7-1

I caught a Charlie Montoyo liner for the first out in the bottom half. Then I took a Leon Durham grounder for the 2nd out.

I came up in the 8th with one out and Robby Thompson on 1st. Dorn Taylor was pitching. I flew out to Pat Tabler in left. Robby ended up scoring on a single by Chili.

Giants lead 8-1

Mike Perez took over on the mound for us in the 8th.
Benny Colvard scored on a double by Tony Chance. Then Chance and Jody Davis scored on a James McCollom double.

Giants lead 8-4

Mark Clear came in to wrap things up in the 9th. He walked the first batter but then got the next three to seal the win.

I went 0 for 1.

Hey! It's my 20th birthday!

We will celebrate later, but for now, we are taking on the Cubs!

The Giants are pitching Rick Sutcliffe. The Cubs have Dan Freed.

I got in the action right away, fielding an Otis Nixon grounder for the 1st out.

I came up first in the bottom of the 1st and I struck out.

We got on the board in the 2nd when Rob Deer scored on an Alan Cockrell double and then Alan scored on a sac fly by Rick.
I came up with two out and pooped up to 1st.

Giants lead 2-0

In the 3rd Robby Thompson singled, stole 2nd, and scored on a double by Rob.

Giants lead 3-0

I got the 1st out in the 4th off a Nixon grounder.

Mike Griffin took over for Rick after he pitched four perfect innings.
Mike did not fare quite as well as Keith Miler scored on a Marvell Wynne single. Wynne ended up scoring on a Damon Berryhill groundout. Tom Foley scored on a Billy Hatcher single.

Game tied 3-3

I led off the 5th, now facing Bob Baldrick. I hit one into the right field corner for a triple! Then Robby doubled me home! Later Robby scored on a wild pitch and then Chili Davis scored on a sac fly by Alan.

Giants lead 6-3

Scott Garrelts took over mound duties for us in the 6th.

I left the game in the 6th.

We ended up winning 8-7.

I went 1 for 3 with a triple and a run scored. I am finally batting over .200.

Time to head out for a nice dinner and some cake!

Today the Giants have Eric Show facing Manny Hernandez and the Astros.

I led off the game by grounding out to Bill Doran at 2nd.

Houston opened the scoring in the bottom of the 1st, with Tim Jones scoring on a Craig Biggio sac fly.

Astros lead 1-0

I led off the 3rd, with our side still being hitless. I didn't change that as I grounded out right back to Hernandez.
We did change it that inning, but still did not score.

Scott Service took over pitching for us in the 5th. He gave up a run as Randy Braun scored on a surprise triple by pitcher Mark Ross. I made my first defensive play, getting Doran out, but Ross scored on the grounder. Then Jones scored can s ingle by Harold Baines.

Astros lead 4-0

I led off the 6th against Ross by grounding out to Juan Delgado at short.

Jeff Robinson relieved for us that inning.

I left the game in the 8th.

We lost 4-0

I went 0 for 3 and am back under .200

We signed a pitcher with some major league experience, Ken Schrom, but it sounds like he is a reclamation project and will start off in the minors.

Today the Giants are pitching John Burkett against Wally Whitehurst and the Expos.

I didn't start.

I came in as a pinch hitter with two out in the 8th. We had a 2-0 lead and Keith Comstock was pitching. I flew out to right.

I stayed in the play short with Mark Davis there to shut down the 9th.

Three batters later, we had the win.

My average is back down to .189

We had an off day and then the Giants had Bruce Ruffin facing off with Mike Carista and the Braves.

I led off the game by grounding out to Andres Galarraga at 1st. After me, Mike Aldrete doubled and then scored on a Ruben Sierra single.

Giants lead 1-0

I came up in the 2nd with two out, Robby Thompson on 3rd, and Chris Brown on 2nd. Unfortunately I flew out to Ken Griffey Jr. in centre.

In the bottom of the 2nd I had my first play - an easy pop up by Nelson Santovenia... and I DROPPED IT! There is NO excuse for that!
Thankfully we finished the frame with a Thompson - Priske - Aldrete double play to get Junior and Jerome Walton out.

The Braves tied it up in the 3rd when Carista reached on an error by Chris and scored on a Galarraga double.

Game tied 1-1

I came up with two out in the 4th and took a five pitch walk. I stole 2nd. I scored on a single by Mike.

Giants lead 2-1

In the bottom half I made a GREAT play on a grounder by pinch hitter Jeff Blauser, getting the 3rd out with a man on 3rd.

Mark Clear took over for us in the 5th.
Galarrage got to him, smashing a massive two run homer.
I handled a grounder from Andres Thomas for the 2nd out.

Braves lead 3-2

I left for a pinch hitter in the 6th.
The score did not change.

I went 0 for 2 with a walk, a run scored, and a stolen base.

I am batting .182

We are down to the last week fo Spring Training and my bat is still ice cold.

Today the Giants are pitching Frank Viola against Kevin Gross and the Phillies.

I got the 2nd out in the 1st, off a grounder by Bo Jackson.

I led off our half of the game by popping out to catcher Mike LaValliere.
Chili Davis walked and then scored on a Ruben Sierra triple.

Giants lead 1-0

I got the 3rd out in the 2nd off a Luis Aguayo grounder.

I came up in the 2nd with two out, Alan Cockrell on 2nd and John Rabb on 1st. I singled through the right side, scoring Alan! Robby Thompson then reached on an infield single, loading the bags. We were all left there.

Giants lead 2-0

I got the 1st out in the 3rd off of a Gross grounder. Then I did the same to Tim Raines for the 2nd.

The Phillies got on the board in the 4th when Walt Weiss scored on a Cecil Espy triple. Then Aguayo homered to give them the lead.

Phillies lead 3-2

Ozzie Soto - who was jus brought up to camp yesterday - took over pitching for us in the 5th. I got the 2nd out behind him, catching a fly by Alfredo Griffin. I then handled a Jackson grounder to end the inning.

I led off our half, now facing Jeff Gray. I grounded out to Griffin at 2nd. Behind me Robby singled and scored on a Sierra double to tie things up.

Game tied 3-3

I stayed busy in the 6th, taking a LaValliere grounder for the 2nd out.

I left the game in the bottom half.

We ended up winning 8-7 in 11 innings.

I went 1 for 3 with a single and an RBI.
Batting average up to .190

Today the Giants have Rick Sutcliffe taking on Scott Terry and the Reds.

I got the 2nd out of the game off a Claudell Washington grounder.

I led off the bottom of the 1st by grounding one back to Terry.

We got a couple in the 2nd. Rob Deer walked, stole 2nd, and the scored on a Bob Brenly single. Bob then scored on a double by Brian Giles.

Giants lead 2-0

I led off in the 3rd and grounded out to Kurt Stillwell at short.

In the 4th Rob singled and scored on a Robby Thompson double. Robby scored on an errant pickoff thrown and Brian scored on a single by Chris Brown. I came up with two out and Chris on 1st with Rob Dibble coming in to face me, but I grounded out again.

Giants lead 5-0

Mike Griffin relieved for us in the 5th. He pitched two and then Mike Perez came in.

I left the game in the bottom of the 7th.

We held the shutout.

I went 0 for 3. I am now hitting .180.

Giants lead 3-0

I came up again in the 2nd, with one out, Alan Cockrell on 2nd, and Eric on 1st. I struck out.

The Giants have Willie Fraser facing Tim Belcher and the Padres.

The Padres struck immediately with Harold Reynolds leading off with a triple and then scoring on a Randy Ready double.

Padres lead 1-0

I led off the bottom half by outrunning an infield single. I was erased on a fielder's choice by Mike Aldrete.

In the 2nd Junior Felix scored on a fielder's choice by Reynolds. Then Darrell Miller scored on a fielder's choice by Ready, played by me.

Padres lead 3-0

I came up with one out in the 3rd and struck out.

In the 4th Tony Gwynn scored on a John Kruk single.

Padres lead 4-0

Frank Williams relieved for us in the 5th.

I made the 2nd out in the 6th off a grounder by Gerald DeSimone. I then did the same to Tom Dodd for the 3rd out.

I led off the bottom of the 6th, facing Bill Long. I grounded out to Keith Smith at 3rd.

Andy McGaffigan took over in the 8th.
I got the 3rd out for him off a Torey Luvullo grounder.

When I left in the 7th I still had half of our hits in the game with my leadoff single.

We lost 5-0.

I went 1 for 3 with a single.

There is only one spring training amp left and I am still hitting like crap.

The Giants are wrapping up our Spring schedule with John Burkett facing the Dodgers and Larry McWilliams.

I led off the game by taking a walk. Stolen base. With one out I moved to 3rd when Chili Davis reached on an error. I scored on an infield single by Ruben Sierra. After that Chili scored on a Rob Deer double.

Giants lead 2-0

I got the first batter in the Dodgers' half, taking a Steve Sax grounder. A Thompson - Priske - Aldrete finished up the inning.

I came up next with two out in the 2nd. I grounded out to Sax at 2nd.

Rob led off the 4th with a homer. Then Robby Thompson tripled and scored on a Chris Brown sac fly. I ended the inning with a groundout.

Giants lead 4-0

The Dodgers got on the board in the 4th when Tim Wallach scored on a Candy Maldonado single.

Giants lead 4-1

Jeff Robinson came in for us in the 5th.
I made a great play behind him on a Brian Harper grounder for the 1st out. Highlight.
I later caught a Dave Winfield pop to end the frame.

I also ended the 6th off a Benito Santiago grounder.

I left in the 7th.

The score held.

I went 0 for 2 with a walk, a run scored, and a stolen base.

I ended spring training hitting .174

Not good enough.

So it looks like we have a set roster.

Th big change from earlier int he spring is that Rob Deer earned his spot back. Instead it is Steve Stanicek who has been moved to the bench. The downside to that is Chili Davis in centre. Chili is a great hitter and decent in the corner, but he is not much of a CF.

We'll see.

Chris Brown lost his starting job to Brian Giles, as expected. Brad Wellman has returned to the team and Kelvin Torve is a new face from Phoenix.

The new rotation is Frank Viola, Rick Sutcliffe, Eric Show, Bruce Ruffin, and Willie Fraser.

The bullpen has Mark Davis as the new Closer. Scott Garrelts and Andy McGaffigan are setup men. Jeff Robinson, Mark Clear, and Goose Gossage round things out.

Our usual lineup will be Me at SS, Mike ALdrete at 1B, Chili in CF, Ruben Sierra over in RF, Rob in LF, Robby Thompson at 2B, Bob Brenly behind the plate, and Brian at 3rd.

John Rabb is back-up catcher (and damned near everywhere else. The man is VERSATILE.)
Brad and Chris are joined by Tom O'Malley in the infield, with Kelvin in the OF.

That puts some familiar names in Phoenix. John Burkett, Scott Service, Frank Williams, Scott Bradley, Alan Cockrell.

Fran Mullins was placed on waivers.

We are opening on the road, in L.A.

The Giants are pitching our new Ace, Frank Viola,

The Dodgers have Orel Hershiser.

I have gone 4 for 37 against him.

I opened the season by putting one through the left side for a single! THAT is more like it!
What next? A stolen base of course!
After Mike Aldrete popped out, flying on adrenaline I stole 3rd!
With two out, Ruben Sierra walked, but we were both left on.

In the bottom half I made a beautiful play on a Dave Winfield grounder for the 3rd out.

I am HERE for the regular season!

And as soon as I say that... Robby Thompson led off the 2nd with a triple, and hurt his knee sliding into the base. He had to be helped from the field.

I really hope he is okay. He has a ton of bad luck with his health over the past two years.

Tom O'Malley took his place.
Just like me in the 1st, Tom was left on 3rd.

On defense, Tom subbed in at 3rd and Brian Giles went over to 2nd.

I led off the 3rd by dumping one into shallow centre for a single. Mike then walked. I went to 3rd as Chili Davis replaced Mike with a fielder's choice. Ruben hit into a double play and for the 3rd inning in a row, we left someone on 3rd.

The Dodgers opened the scoring in the 3rd with a Brian Harper, two-run homer.

Dodgers lead 2-0

I came up in the 5th with one out and Brian on 2nd. Another single to centre and this time it knocked in a run as Brian crossed!
I tried to steal 2nd but ran into a pitchout and was gunned down.

Dodgers lead 2-1

In the bottom of the 5th, Harper scored on a Tim Wallach double.

Dodgers lead 3-1

In the 7th Tom singled and then scored on a Bob Brenly triple! A sac fly by Brian and we had tied it up!
I came up with two out and struck out. I guess I couldn't hit 1.000 all season.

Game tied 3-3

I got the last out of the inning off a grounder by Sax.

In the 8th Chili doubled and ended up scoring on a wild pitch by Hershiser, who promptly gave up a home run to Rob Deer!

Giants lead 5-3

Wallach led off the bottom of the 8th with a home run. Then Dave Winfield singled before Jim went to the pen. Mark Davis came in as our new closer. John Rabb also came in for Tom in a double switch (with Brian going back to 3rd and John playing 2nd). A sweet Priske - Rabb - Aldrete double play erased Winfield and Kent Hrbek.

Giants lead 5-4

Dave Anderson led off the 9th with a single but Harper hit into a Priske - Rabb - Aldrete double play!
One more out and we had the win!

I went 3 for 4 with three singles, an RBI, and two stolen bases (plus a caught stealing)!

But I am worried about Robby.

We started the season off right. Today the Giants try to continue that with Rick Sutcliffe facing Mike Witt and the Dodgers.

Witt is new to L.A., coming over from the Angels, so I don't have experience with him.

Brad Wellman is starling at 2nd as Robby's health is still uncertain.

I kicked off the game by grounding out to Steve Sax at 2nd.

Sax led off with a single on their half, but Dave Winfield hit into a Priske - Wellman - Aldrete double play to clean that up.

I came up with one out in the 3rd and grounded out to Tim Wallach at 3rd.

I got the first out in the bottom of the 3rd off a Winfield grounder.

The Dodgers get the first run across in the 4th when Candy Maldonado scored on a Brian Harper sac fly. I handled a Witt grounder to end it.

Dodgers lead 1-0

I led off the 6th by grounding out to Sax again.

I caught a Maldonado pop for the 2nd out in the bottom frame.
I then did the same in the 7th to Harper.

I came up in the 8th with two out and Brad Wellman on 2nd. I hit a dribbler back to the pitcher but outran it for an infield single. Brad went to 3rd. Unfortunately, we were both left there.

Rick had been lifted for a pinch hitter so Scott Garrelts took over that inning.
I caught a Sax popup for the first out behind him.

We weren't able to score in the 9th and Mike Witt wrapped up the 1-0 shutout.

I went 1 for 4.

Now we have an off day before we open at home vs the Padres.

We got the news about Robby Thompson. Tendinitis in his knee is going to bother him for a couple of weeks, but he is still going to be playing.

It is the Home Opener and San Francisco has come out in droves to watch the Giants! Today they are login to see Eric Show take on Storm Davis and the Padres.

For the 2nd game in a row we are facing an AL import as Davis has just come over from Baltimore.

I led off the home half of the 1st by lining out to John Kruk at 1st.
Two batters later, Chili Davis put one over the wall.

Giants lead 1-0

I got the 1st out in the 2nd off an Ozzie Guillen grounder.

I did the same to Randy Ready for the 3rd out in the 3rd.

I came up in the 3rd with one out and Eric on 1st. I put one up the middle for a single, pushing Eric to 2nd.
Eric scored and I went to 3rd on a Mike Aldrete double.
Then Chili hit his 2nd homer of the game!

Giants lead 5-0

Tony Gwynn led off the 4th with a homer of his own. Then Kruk scored on a triple by Guillen. Then Guillen scored on a single by Carmelo Martinez. A Priske - Thompson - Aldrete double play ended the threat.

Giants lead 5-3

I came up in the 4th with two out, Brian Giles on 3rd, and Eric on 1st. I dropped one into short left for an RBI single!
That chased Davis. Eric and I were left on.

Giants lead 6-3

I got the first out in the 5th of a Mark Wasinger grounder. He had just come in on a double switch.

I came up in the 6th with Robby Thompson on 3rd and Bob Brenly on 2nd. Bill Long was pitching. I walked, filling the empty base. Mike grounded out, leaving the bases full.

Eric got into some trouble in the 8th. He loaded the bases with one out and then Gwynn scored on an infield single by Guillen. A single by Martinez and an error by Chili tied it up as Kruk and Rick Cerone crossed. Eric intentionally walked pinch hitter Rob Richie and then Jim brought in Scott Garrelts.
He struck out the first guy but then Harold Reynolds, scoring Guillen. Then Scott walked Ready, forcing Martinez in.

Padres lead 8-6

I came up with two out in the 8th and Lance McCullers on the mound. I walked for the 2nd straight time. I got no further.

Andy McGaffigan took over in the 9th. He gave up a walk but I got the 3rd out for him on a grounder by Martinez.
We weren't able to score in our half, though, and we sent our fans home unhappy.

I went 2 for 3 with a pair of singles, a pair of walks, an RBI, and a run scored.

Obviously the season is young, but so far I am hitting .545.

After the game we found out that Kelvin Torre was sent to Phoenix and Mike Easler was called up.

Mike has been around the league for a while, with his most recent stop being in Detroit.

Today the Giants have Bruce Ruffin taking on Tim Belcher and the Padres.

I have very minimal experience against Belcher, going 0 for 2.

I got the 2nd out of the game off a Tony Gwynn grounder.

I led off the home half by hitting one through the right side for a single. With two out I picked up stolen base #3 but got no further.

I got the 1st out in the 3rd, catching a Belcher pop. I then handled a Harold Reynolds grounder for the 2nd out.

I came up in the 3rd with one out and Brian Giles on 1st. I hit one to Ozzie Guillen at short for a fielder's choice. Stolen base #4, but that was it.

I got the 1st out in the 4th off a Randy Ready grounder. I took a Guillen grounder for a fielder's choice, but John Kruk scored on the play. Then Guillen scored on a Carmelo Martinez double. A took a Scott Parsons groundball to end it.

Padres lead 2-0

I made the 2nd out of the 6th off a grounder by Armando Verdugo.

I came up with one out in the bottom of the 6th and I flew out to Martinez in left.

In the 7th we made a nice Thompson - Priske - Aldrete double play to get Martinez and Parsons.

Andy McGaffigan relieved for us to kick off the 8th.

We finally got on the board in the 8th when Brian led off with his first homer of the year.
I came up with none out and pinch hitter Chris Brown on 1st. I hit into a double play.

Padres lead 2-1

Mark Davis took over for us in the 9th.
Things went bad for him right away. Without getting an out first, he loaded the bases and then Martinez singled, scoring Ready. He struck out the next guy before Verdugo scored on a sac fly by pinch hitter Torey Luvullo.

Padres lead 4-1

And that is how it ended.

I went 1 for 4 with a single and two stolen bases.

Last place in the division is not where we want to be, even after only four games.

Today the Giants have Frank Viola (1-0, 5.14) taking on the Padres and Richard Dotson.

I am 3 for 12 against Dotson.

The sun is shining in Candlestick and we are ready to play ball!

I led off the home half by legging out an infield single to 3rd. Mike Aldrete walked. I moved to 3rd on a Ruben Sierra fly but that was the 2nd out and I was unable to score.

I led off in the 3rd and dropped one into shallow left for another single. Stolen base #5. Mike walked again. Then Chili Davis walked to load them up. Ruben hit into a fielder's choice and I scored. With two out Mike scored on a Robby Thompson single and then Ruben scored on a Bob Brenly single.

Giants lead 3-0

I got the 3rd out in the 4th off a grounder by Ozzie Guillen.

In the bottom half I came up with one out and struck out.

The Padres got on the board in the 5th when Paul Noce scored on a single by Harold Reynolds.

Giants lead 3-1

I came up with one out in the 7th and Mark Williamson on the mound. I grounded out to Randy Ready at 3rd.

I got the 3rd out in the 8th off a John Kruk grounder.

Mark Davis came in to pitch the 9th. I took a Carmelo Martinez grounder behind him for the 2nd out. Mark pitched perfect inning and we had the win.

I went 2 for 4 with two singles, a run scored, and a stolen base.

Today the Giants have Rick Sutcliffe (0-1, 1.29) facing the Padres and Mark Langston (0-1, 2.57).

I have gone 6 for 25 against Langston.

I led off the bottom of the 1st by striking out.

I made my first defensive play on the first batter in the 3rd - a Langston groundout. I then did the same to Harold Reynolds for the 2nd out.

I came up in the bottom frame, with Rick on 1st. I hit into a fielders choice. I moved to 2nd on a Mike Aldrete groundout. Chili Davis walked, but we were both left.

The Padres opened the scoring in the 4th when Chili dropped a two out flyball by Carmelo Martinez and then Ozzie Guillen doubled him home.

Padres lead 1-0

I caught a tough liner by Reynolds for the 3rd out in the 5th.

I came up with one out in the inning and I flew out to Scott Parsons in centre.

I then came up with the same situation in the 7th and this time I managed a walk. I stole 2nd and took 3rd when Armando Verdugo threw the ball away trying to catch me. Then Mike walked. But I just couldn't score.

I handled a Tony Gwynn grounder for the 1st out in the 9th. John Kruk followed with a homer.

Padres lead 2-0

I came up with two out in the bottom of the 9th, now facing Lance McCullers. I grounded out to Randy Ready at 3rd and we had lost.

We really let Rick down. He pitched very well and deserved a win.

I went 0 for 4 with a walk and a stolen base.

Tomorrow the Reds are coming to town.

Today the Giants are sending up Willie Fraser to make his first start of the year. He will be facing Andy Hawkins (0-1, 10.50) and the Reds.

I have gone 3 for 16 with a home run against Hawkins.

I led off the bottom of the 1st by grounding out to Curt Wilkerson at 2nd.

The Reds opened the scoring in the 2nd when Kal Daniels scored on a Dave Parker single. I got the 3rd out in the inning off a Wilkerson grounder.

Reds lead 1-0

In the 3rd Hawkins scored on a Will Clark single.

Reds lead 2-0

I led off the 4th by doing something I do very infrequently, but now it is twice off Hawkins... I hit a home run!
Before the inning was up, Rob Deer one-upped me by hitting a three-run blast!

Giants lead 4-2

I came up next with one out in the 5th and I grounded out right back to Hawkins.

In the 6th, Rob hit his 2nd homer of the night!

Giants lead 5-2

After Willie gave up a couple of hits in the 7th, Jim went to Andy McGaffigan. He gave up a single to Claudell Washington that allowed Tim McIntosh and Al Newman to score. Then Washington scored on a Daniels single to tie it up.

Game tied 5-5

I came up in the bottom half with two out and Brian Giles on 2nd. Greg Cadaret was pitching. He walked me. We were left.

Scott Garrelts took over for us in the 8th. He struggled through the inning, but kept it scoreless.
Then Mark Davis came in for the 9th, with Steve Stanicek coming in for Rob on a double switch.
The Reds take the lead in the 9th as Clark scored on a Parker single. Then Daniels scored on a sac fly by Kurt Stillwell.

Reds lead 7-5

John Franco got the first two guys out before giving up a single to Steve. Then I came up with it all on the line and I grounded one to 3rd but outran it for a single. But then Mike Aldrete struck out and we had the loss.

I went 2 for 4 with a single, a walk, a HOME RUN, one run scored, and one RBI.

It was nice getting that homer yesterday, but I would rather we started winning some more games.

It seems that we will have some more time to think about it because today's game against the Reds was rained out.

Later in the day we heard that Alan Cockrell was called up, but at the expense of Brad Wellman, who was placed on waivers.

The Giants have a double header against the Reds today.

Game one has Eric Show (0-1, 6.14) against Ron Robinson (0-1, 3.86).

I have gone only 2 for 12 against Robinson.

The Reds struck early, with Al Newman crossing on a Nick Esasky single. Then it got a lot worse as Ernie Whitt launched a two out Grand Slam.
I handled a Dave Parker grounder to finish the top of the 1st.

Reds lead 5-0

I led off our half by being grazed by a Robinson fastball. With one out I went to 3rd on a Chili Davis single. I then scored on a Rob Deer sac fly.

Reds lead 5-1

I came up next with one out in the 3rd and I struck out.

I got the first out in the 4th off a Kurt Stillwell grounder. I then caught a Whitt pop for the 2nd out.

I then got the 2nd out in the 5th off a bouncer by Newman.

In the bottom half I came up with two out and Brian Giles on 1st. I hit one back to Robinson but outran the play for an infield single. Then Mike Aldrete walked to load the bases. Unfortunately Chili couldn't get it done.

I then came up in the 7th with two out and German Gonzalez pitching. I got my second straight infield single. I was left.

I got the 1st out in the 8th off a Newman grounder. I did the same to Will Clark for the 3rd out.

We were unable tis core and we had lost game one of the day.

I went 2 for 3 with a pair of singles, a hit-by-pitch, and a run scored.
