This time it finally worked, thank God! Thanks for all your help and all, folks. I don't know why it wasn't working, but it seems to have worked this last try. Hopefully we won't have this happen again for me somehow, of course. I managed to find the proper folder, it seems, where I didn't expect to find it at all, by random chance, I believe. Sorry for being a bit frustrated and all here, everyone. Now maybe I can get that league's first draft pool announced for the first-year amateur draft process, and all, of course. CD out.

I don't know how I wasn't able to find them before, but I managed to find certain files in the stats folder in OOTP 20 instead of where I was looking in the database folders, et cetera. Then I was finally able to import the desired players somehow. Thanks again for all your help, folks. It's much appreciated, and definitely won't be forgotten. CD out.

What specifically did you do differently? I've had this same problem for years. I've tried importing from the historical database, master csv, csv and text files filtered to that season, etc.

They are in the draft pool in question, finally, and the draft pool has been announced, as hoped-for. This was really frustrating me quite a bit, unfortunately. Thanks again for all your help, The Game, and everyone else.

Expect a new thread in the Dynasty Forum later, sometime after the related draft takes place. But before then, I will likely ask for some advice, in terms of drafting players from certain league draft pools for the teams I am running as various human managers.

Hopefully, we can figure out who's most likely to fall to each of those teams I'm running, before they pick, of the available players, and who might be most likely to fall to my teams, in the applicable drafts. And who I should probably try to grab most if I can in said drafts.

I was just about to give up for a bit, and try to do some more writing, although I'm not quite sure how to proceed further with my latest story at the moment, to be honest. I still have to do a lot of writing very soon, mind you, but maybe this experience will give me some useful ideas on how to proceed with said story. Let's hope it does, folks. CD out.

I kept trying, and fortunately, I found the necessary thing or things I needed to make sure that things worked, much to my great surprise and all. I somehow stumbled on it, and hopefully I won't forget where to look in the future. I didn't even expect to find what I needed where I found it, though, to be sure.

Persistence can pay off for people at times, in good ways, of course. Or persistence in certain things can bring trouble at times, often just as easily, if not even easier than that. But thank God, with a GREAT DEAL of helpful advice and all from others here, I was finally able to somehow find what I was looking for, in an unexpected place. CD out.

sounds like it wasn't pointed to proper directory. looking for a file somewhere it does not exist and coming back empty each time you try.

when you go to import in game, if there's an option to point to change 'import from file', try that, then nagivate to the directories he mentioned... it's gotta be on that screen that he mentions. he had to traverse the subfodlers to find the right file.

or, he copied it over to a saved game folder.. .no idea.. the elements are in his post, you can figure it out in a few trial and error attempts.

stats fodler, not database.. likely master.csv? i forget specific file (you don't want to import that file, or you might get everything,lol)

What would be useful for you to know, is if it retains that fix. after getting it to work, try again with a custom text file.
