Calling all commish's past current and anyone looking to start a league

Dear, men

My plan is to bring all ootp commish together and work together if all commish E-mail me the E-mail Address my 9-10-04 i will be sending out my mission statement. My goal is to stop leagues from folding and bring leagues together.

I feel there is afew large league's with a big following and to many small leagues that no one really knows anything about.

So if all past, current, and future commish's please send me a E-mail with your input from your leagues, and history when your leagues started or starting i would love that.

my E-mail is ootpleader@yahoo.com
and AIM is Ootpb6

Thank you and have a great week

Mr.Online

Why don't you just post your mission statement here? You'll probably get more of a response on the boards than by email anyways.

if you want you could just tell me how many leagues and the turn over rate

if all commish send that info aswell that would be great turn over rate and how long the longest member has been in that league

As the Commissioner of a "small league that no one really knows anything about" I have to ask, what is the problem with anonymity?

Legend, I am not talking about leagues of 12-18 teams i am talk about leagues that where great leagues that fold. That dont have a Leader Like you to bring in new member. you are one of the greats and everyone knows you and knows your a great commish. but if you look at some leagues that dont have a commish that post alot when they lose 3 or more guys to "unknow" reason the have a hard time trying to fill them spots

ok I will bite, here are my leagues:

Classic Baseball-extremely LOW turnover rate as i have about 20-21 of the original 26 GM's
Shag-A-Delic Baseball-lower than Classic with almost the entire league being original owners, with only 1 team having more than 2 GM's in 6 seasons
Underground Baseball-roughly 75-80% original GM's with two teams initially having a hard time keeping GM's
Pioneers of the Diamond-another league with 75-80% of original GM's. We have had GM's that have left and come back. Probably one of the top 2 most popular simleaguecentral.com leagues
Around the Diamond-the baby of my leagues and still has an issue with a couple teams, but considering all the original problems, we still have a very large core of GM's
Strike 3 Baseball-Since i have taken over this league, i have managed to retain 85% of the GM's I began with. I dont know the entire ratio of current to original GM's as i was not in the league from the start up
In the Zone Baseball-This league has scared many people away becuase it is the only pay league i know of. Either people are just afraid to really prove they can play or they are hesitant to fork money out. Well it isnt going anywhere and it will fill up one day. I dont have an "Origianl GM list" as it hasnt filled up yet but i would say this, it will be a highly involved league so i dont see many GM's taking off.

maybe that will get you started. I have 3 more baseball leagues being built now as well as simleaguecentral.com's first football league which will open soon. 2 more football leagues will open following this league.

If a commish can't find the time to post when there are openings, why would anyone want to join their league?

Not what I read ... I read

but if you look at some leagues, the ones that dont have a commish that post alot, (on the OOTP forum) when they lose 3 or more guys to "unknown" reasons, they have a hard time trying to fill them those spots

I think he is saying those commishes don't have the same resources to recruit as the heavy OOTP forum posters.

Why would I depend on a newb with 5 posts total on this board to tell me why I have a vacancy every once in a while?

What are you proposing to do, meat? Spill it.
