Day 1 - July 1st

........................................... @ .................................................. .............

The World Cup tournamet leads off with a bang between two online league allstar teams, The Canadian Baseball league faces off again teh Crash Davis Mexican League. The CBL offence is lead by offensive power house RF Steve Bayne, who had 51 HR, 128 rbi's and a .317 AVG along with their leadoff man - CF Wesley Gusman batted .342 and had 51 SB just this past season. Their game one scheduled pitcher is Morgan Harrison, who did not have one of his best stuff this past season in the CBL, but is looking to leave all of that behind in this tournament. This team looks to be one of the many offensive teams in the tournament.

The CDML is another very good offensive club. LF George Garcia is one of those amazing players that shows up once or twice in a generation. He batted .287 with 58 HR and 151 RBI's. And that was his "off year", a year before that he batted .328 with 63 HR and 190 RBI's. There are also several other power hitters in the club house such as C-Marcellus Lazaro (41HR), 1B-Roberto Calvo (36 HR), 3B-Marcelo Cedeno (47 HR), RF-Mario Garcia (45 HR), and 2B-Tyree Montoya (33 HR). The CBL will need a very good game from Harrison to face this lineup. However their pitching is another story, RHP Carmen Guerra is called up to the mound for Tuesday's game. He didn't have a good past season at all, with a 9-8 record and a 5.97 ERA. Their bullpen isn't helping either, the closer is Julian Cipolla who only pitched in 29 games in the regular season and did not come in as a saver.

I predict this game to be a slug fest with both pitchers getting hammered by the many power hitter mentioned above. Though i could be wrong and there may be surprises from either Harrison or Guerra. Regardless i predict CDML over CBL by 5 runs.

Me too! Had a quick look at the other teams and there are a lot of big bats out there. Should be interesting at Wrigley

Good luck to everyone

Day 1 sim complet all files are up, very great games, CDML ended up winning against CBL, (like i predicted , but only by 1) and Jeff Sperling from the MaxLB pitched a complete game shutout (3 hits) against NML. More news will be up on the site later tonite. Remember to send in your export before tomrrow at 6 EST or 3 Pacific if you wish to change your lineups. Cuss, just out of curiousity, why was my league abbreviated IPBball, instead of just IPB, like all of the other leagues?

Looks my league did pretty good in its first game, 12-2 win. Also looks like my Lynchburg players did good too (everyone's favorite Ryan Davis went 3-4 with and RBI and Domingo Val went 2-4 with a two run homer). Also..pitcher Bill Powell won the player of the game award pitching a complete game.

Yeah I see the problem too, it seems that when you dl the file from the home page, the file is out-dated, but on the download page the file is updated. I'll fix that right now, and will be ready for tomorrow's game. Thanx for letting me know.

Try refreshing the main page by clicking reload while holding ctrl. Do that to every page to see the updates!

Other Notables for Day 2

-NBA@NLB, on Day 1 NBA ran away with the game and won 12-2, but look for NLB to have a strong comeback on Wednesday.
-JBL vs BPLA. Look for both the JBL and the BPLA to have a good pitchign game since that on the whole the BPLA is a low average team with tremendez power. And Rafferty of the BPLA was 21-7 with 337 K's in this past regular season.
-C2C vs XBL. Watch for XBL's ace, Heilman to have a great game since they had the first day off. However C2C is still riding on their day one victory over the BPLA 3-2.
