Stadium Sounds
I am really enjoying the 3D visuals. The sounds are great too! There are a few different sounds of the bat hitting the ball, crowd noise, and some music spread out over the course of a game.
Any plan on letting us use custom music or sounds for walkup music, HRs, walks, ect? That would be a great feature! |

You already can use custom walk-up music! In the data/sounds folder, you can find all the sound files we use. If you add/replace any of those ones with similarly named files, they'll play in-game. And for walkup music, if you name the file based on the player name (ie. mike_trout.ogg, I think), then you can even use custom music for specific batters.

As Matt mentioned, the custom walk-up music is a great feature. I actually use mine in my '70s and 80's historic games as a way to have a PA announcer tell the crowd who's at the plate. Gives me a chance to tap into some of my favorite PA voices, such as the late J. Fred Duckett from the Astrodome, Bob Sheppard of the Yankees, Rex Barney of the Orioles, John Ramsey of the Dodgers and any other clean PA clips I can find on YouTube to record for audio.

Additionally, a lot of contemporary players intros were compiled last year. A lot of fine work by Bobble and others in this thread.

I use Audacity to record the sounds off YouTube. You have to tinker with it some, and audio quality depends on the quality of the audio on the YouTube video.
All-Star games, playoff and World Series games are the best games to grab audio as long as the broadcast televises the intros of the players before the games. I have a link to my Dropbox folder if anyone is interested. These players are exclusively from the 1970s, '80s and early '90s because that's all I play. But if you're interested in current-day guys, maybe this will give you some inspiration. One other note: Most of the time, I leave the player's team on the file just because I think it's cool. Obviously, it may seem out of place if the guy has moved on to another team. You can always edit that out, if you like. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/wuwlo69eh...QMMLpRoja?dl=0 Last edited by cheo25; 03-20-2019 at 10:58 AM. |
