The venerable Bull League now accepting managers

Hi there, a quick introduction -- we are new to OOTP and to the forums, but we are excited to be here.

From 1989-1993 we ran the Bull League as a fictional league using Earl Weaver Baseball from an Amiga 2000. After the 1994 MLB strike, and many of those involved moving away and finding other distractions (like working for a living, ha ha!) the league went into a dormant period.

This year, the commissioner (me) discovered what we had been missing all these years -- OOTP! After setting up the 1994 rosters and teams I ran the 1995-2015 simulated seasons and to catch up on all those lost years. Thanks OOTP for making THAT so easy to do.

We are now taking the league online and some of the old managers and taking an interest as well. We have a 20-team fictional league, with 4-levels of minor-leagues, and are accepting new managers.

We run in "real-time" on an 82-game season (so it won't take up your ENTIRE life, just some of it), and the season is currently in progress, so there are lots of opportunities to take great teams in pennant races, or take struggling teams and turn them around.

Some other features:

- Full blog/website with public side league tables
- A full featured league wiki, so you can read up (and contribute) to our league's storied history
- Real trophies! -- We'll figure out how to work that in as we go along, but we've had them since 1991 and are happy to have held on to them all this time

As a side note, as we are new to OOTP we are just learning the online side of it, and experienced managers (and those who have commissioner experience) are more than welcome.

Thanks!

Bump.

We still have loads of teams available, several great teams in playoff contention (for those who want to sail into an easy playoff).

Time is short to take a loser and turn it around for this season, but if anyone wanted a real challenge for next year, our worst team, Battle Creek Attack, currently has a pitiful 13-51 record, which is on track to be our worst-ever team in 20 simulated years should they fail to get just 5 wins. THAT team needs a fantastic manager to turn it around.

Our perennial championship team the New York Minutemen are trying to make the playoffs this year and are in a tight pennant race with just 18 games left, they could be an interesting challenge.

Can you elaborate more on the rules? Especially the sim schedule?
