Let me get this wayward thread back on track:

FOBL is complete shi</i>t. If you want an elite league, stay the f</i>uck away from their site. Bunch of inbred pigfu</i>ckers and jesus freaks they are...

why?

My question is why would anyone get in a pissing match with Mark C. or Portlander...surely they would be overmatched and be-headed quickly!!

Wow! That's a really impressive way to promote your league. It kind of proves to everyone just how mature and childish you are.

Matt,

Subby's comments were tongue-in-cheek.

You'd have to be around the FOBL boards a bit to be able to appreciate their humor, but let me assure you, they are nuts, but a SOLID league.

.........no ABA, but they're pretty good!

Oh, I see. I guess I didn't get the sarcastic just of the message.

I guess what I found to be a bit annoying to the message is that Jesus freaks and pig f**kers are put into the same context. I don't want to start a pissing match however some things that sound good in your head should maybe be left there.

Agreed CDL. I knew he was being sarcastic, but sometimes wonder about all the Jesus and Christianity bashing, etc that goes on here.

Yeah, there's just so many dang elite leagues we just can't stop talking about them! That's what it is, right? Surely this thread wasn't just a bunch of poo slingin'?

Man, I go away for a week and things get a little out of hand.

JBlaze, please, for the love of God, yourself, and OOTP, quit feeding these guys. If you stop commenting, they will find someone else to make a fool out of.

It's a good thing the 'Talk Baseball' forum was created. MD only wanders around there. You guys would be in trouble otherwise.

Back to the topic. The leagues in my sig are the elite leagues. Good commishes make good leagues and there are non better than the four commishes of my leagues, Sporr (Shane Orr), Cooleyvol (Mark Cooley), IatricSB (Stacy Bond), and Modern Relic (Tony Darling).

(cough)Sko's right, NBSL like a em-effer....(cough)
Anyways, I don't warrant myself as a good judge of leagues, but I know I have crap-loads of fun in the NBSL. And in the end, isn't that all that matters? Aside from the love you take equalling out to the love you make, what's really important, in the end, is that whatever league you're in -- elite, not elite, whatever -- that you just have fun.
But what I can't believe is that I've sat here for quite a while reading this post, and I think somewhere around the middle, I may have become dumber for having done so. And in my rapidly progressive life-style of alcohol abuse, that's not such a good thing.
Finally, I'd like to close out this post by saying all youse guys leagues suck the donkey one, you are the ball lickers, and NBSL like a em-effer.
(Just so I don't become the next "thread whipping boy," that last part was a joke, and is supposed to come off as the "hitting your tag-team partner from behind with a steel chair and ripping off your shirt to reveal the shirt of the opposing tag-team underneath of your original shirt" posting equivalent.)

Hmm...a most prolific thread just full of little gems and lots of wit!

I'll throw out a few votes of leagues I've been in, am in, or wish I was in...

...well, wish I was in if I had more time to be in them.

The ABA - Cooley and Monroe do a fantastic job with this league, it is a blast! (plus, I like their logo)

The Heritage Baseball League - Joe Moore is another fine commish and this league is just plain great! Love those Blackbirds...

The BBDL - I've been in and out of this one, usually due to time constraints...lets just say that it is deep. If you want to get totally immersed in the role of GM (and if you love the 1980s-early 90s) this is the league for you, great owners and a great commish.

NBSL - Again, time constraints took me away from this gem among leagues! A great group of owners, some lively discussion on the boards, great commish...

...oh yes, and since it seems to be the thing to do, I'll plug my own darling. Summer of '49....but its only great because of the owners (though, one might wish for some more activity on the forums)...and though we are far from *elite*, I like to think we may get there someday.

There are a few others I know of that have elite potential....but I've said my peace.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Regards
