Nats turn into Expos

I've been seeing popular opinion of having the Nats wear Expos unis for one game of the Series. I think a throwback game in the World Series would be epic! I say let the Nats be Expos for a night with the Astros donning the old "stripe" shirts or the Yankees with a 1927 or 50's design.
Having a throwback night in the Series from here on out would be an awesome idea. JMO.
A great tip of the cap to the history of the World Series itself!

I like it! However, my second thought is that in a such a superstitious baseball world, players (primarily on the Nats) won't want to go there...

I don't think Nationals fans would be so enthusastic. I don't sense a Washington-Montreal comroderie.

Yeah. But it would still be flippin' legendary! I never cared about the Yanks jerseys. But the possibility of Expos vs Rainbows is making me giddy.

If the Expos play the LSD Astros I would record the game and watch it weekly for at least 12 years.

I think if a team changes its nickname when it moves, it loses a lot of its former identity. I don't think the Nationals connect with the Expos in the same way that say, the LA Dodgers connect with the Brooklyn Dodgers. You'd probably never see them wearing Expos stuff in their first World Series, which they earned in Washington.

I thought the Expos were a cool franchise, and liked them partially because they were Canadian. But the Nationals feel more like an expansion team and I don't have any feelings for them. Will be going for them in the World Series though because Astros and Yankees are high on the hate list.

I can tell you from 10 years of living in the DMV area and working for the Nationals for two years that the fan base has almost zero connection to the Expos history and has almost zero interest.

The team has a strong connection with the Homestead Greys and the team has more things around the stadium connecting with them than they do with the Expos.

Why in the hell would you have the Astros wear Yankees jerseys unless you want to pretend that the Yankees actually made the Series? That's just plain silly. If you want to wear throwback jerseys let the Astros wear Houston Colt .45 jerseys or those ridiculous Hawaiian pineapple jerseys they once wore. On second thought, skip the latter.
