Easiest solution: disable rainouts. Its one of the first changes I make, typically along with suspensions.

Except that, as the early 2018 season showed, postponements can have an impact. (There were a few articles last year pointing out the unusual number of postponements early in the season.)

Oh I don't disagree that in real life they do.. but the system with OOTP is too far from being serviceable to be reliable, IMHO.

Another suggestion that requires turning off an aspect of the game.

My thread here was intended to get the issue fixed, not to get suggestions for work arounds.

We should be working towards a game where house rules and work arounds become less necessary.
