OOTP 8 installed and..........nothing....

Well I purchased the OOTP8, using my code form OOTP 7. I installed it for the first time on my Vista laptop since that is what I use most of the time now. However I installed OOTP 8, and purchased the license and went to run OOTP 8 and nothing opens, nothing errors out, nothing happens.... Any ideas?

Did I ever mention that Vista is a pain in the butt?

right click/properties/compatibility/and run as an administrator

I'm also having the same problem. I'm running Windows XP and when I click on OOTP, I get nothing. Please help. Just purchased version 8 with the new patch fyi.

Did 2007 work fine for you, or did you not have that installed?

Never had 2007, only 6.5. It seems to be working fine now. Had restarted my computer twice and all seems well. (Knock on wood!)

just wanted to say thanks for posting this, i had the same problem and that fixed it. i can't stand Vista.
