Cool More 1940s heavyweights

While trying to wrap up the fighter ratings and get back to boxing in my 1940-1950 universe, I came across a page of notes on heavyweights I had overlooked and intended to rate. Since I had already sent the other 50-some new heavies to JR at CornerWork.com, I'll post the additional seven here for those who are interested.

The heavyweight fighters in this zip are Stanley Poreda, Maurice Strickland, Don Mullett, Jackie Cranford, Guillermo Lovell, Herbert Runge and Gunnar Nilsson. The last three didn't do much as pros, but were Olympic medalists of the period. Enjoy!

Thanks Vistaman, your hard work is appreciated.
I posted a thread a while ago about free downloadable fight film footage about the boxers from the 1920's-1950's, as I find it's interesting, and also a valuable resource for rating fighters from this period. The likes George Cook, Les McNabb, Larry Gains, Maurice Strickland, Walter Neusel etc. are there. Here it is:

Cheers,

Shane.

Thanks, Shane. I'll check that out. Much better to actually see them than go strictly on BoxRec and what else I can find on the Internet or books, particularly since a lot of the fighters didn't get much ink (or at least any that has survived 60-plus years).

Thanks Mark for all the fighter ratings you've made available. They will definitely come into use for me as my boxing world progresses.

Reciprocation, baby. Actually, several of yours have already made it into my universe in the upper weight classes, Mark. Glad to return the favor. Light-heavies and flys will be posted next/soon, probably at CornerWork.
