Perfect SS?

Does anyone have the ratings for a perfect SS? I haven't yet seen one.

There was a perfect Lou Boudreau on the market earlier today, first I had seen other than the perfect Honus Wagner. The 100 Boudreau looked like the 96 Arky Vaughan except great defensively too.

Two perfect SS - but only the HONUS wagner has performed well - I pulled it out of one of my initial free packs.

The Honus card is so pretty. To have a SS with that offense...

Man, Boudreau would perform if you let him play long enough.

Yeah and some were arguing that Derek Jeter was the best SS of all time a few years ago. Um no.

HONUS defensive prowess is horrendous though - so it's a trade off.

So is Jeter's, but the way the Infield Error rating works is that they go by how bad the official scorers were at the time. I don't agree with historical Error ratings at all. They should be adjusted for the era like every other rating IMO.

Nevermind that prior to the 50's they played with much much smaller gloves. Prior to the 30's they were playing with basically work gloves.

And the balls were less consistent and the field wasn't maintained to the same level...

I can't tell you how many times I got hit in the face trying to field ground balls in little league because the ball hits some stone under the grass. Our baseball fields were just just literally fields with bases and lines.

Calling Honus a SS is really a stretch
