World Baseball Hierarchy (WBH)

Want something a bit different in a fictional league? The World Baseball Hierarchy (WBH) is a long-running promotion/relegation league with a unique structure based on the 2006 World Baseball Classic. It's a promotion/relegation structure in a hierarchy; play in one of 7 country leagues, trying to fight your way to the top (winning the USA Championship). We've got 45 seasons under our belt, and we expect to go for many years to come.

Tier 3: South Korea & Venezuela (winner of each division in these leagues moves up to Tier 2. South Korea --> Cuba and Venezuela --> Japan)
Tier 4: Canada & Dominican Republic (winner of each division in these leagues moves up to Tier 3. Canada --> South Korea and Dominican Republic --> Venezuela)

Relegation: bottom team in each division drops down 1 tier at the end of the season.

AVAILABLE TEAMS:

Valencia Cerverceros (Canada) - Just finished 65-55 in 2052, this team has very strong pitching, the #1 minor league system in Canada, and 38 mil in budget space. They're primed for a run up the hierarchy. 7th pick in their league draft.

Moca Machine (Cuba) - Another team with strong pitching, along with a stud young SS and CF. Only about 10 mil below the cap, but lots of salary can come off the books after the current season (40 mil comes off the books). 1st pick in their league draft.

Bonao Bananas (Canada) - A team on the rise in Canada, they finished 61-59 last year, and are led by their pitching. Have some really good prospects, and a large budget, 30 mil in salary cap space. 8th pick in their league draft.

Tokyo Tanuki (raccoons) (Venezuela) - Tokyo was just promoted from DR, finishing 70-50, and has a very strong rotation. Their batters are weaker, but their system is loaded with hitting prospects. A good team all around, that has the ability to move up the tier system under the right management. 8th pick in their league draft.

Great league, with great commish. I've been playing for over forty seasons now. Grab a team before they're snapped up!

Don't waste any more time. Nice opportunity to get in a great league. Commish does a real nice job of running things. If you like zero drama, then this is the place for you. Come on in. Don't be skeered. The water is fine.

Great league with great commish. If you like fictional leagues then you will love this league. Much more engagement by GMs on Slack than before and easy league to find trade partners. Come join and see if you can move your team up to the top tier.

this is an incredible league, one that has been around forever. It started back in 2008 and is now in the 2052 season. I joined in the 2009 season and have enjoyed every year since.

I know we have a handful of teams open, but those are being tended to by GMs of other teams so they don't fall into complete oblivion. However, it is done in a manner to avoid conflicts of interest.

viva WBH!

Yeah, we'll be switching, but not until around the MLB all-star break when the game goes on sale.
