Organization player progression

I've been playing since I found STB in Wal-Mart so many years ago. I love taking over my Reds and running the whole organization. I have kept spreadsheets for each minor league team to track who is playing where and whether they have MLB potential.

With apps and mobile so prevalent, are there any fancy tools out there that can help with this kind of thing?

I saw the player development screen, but that doesn't have all the info.

what are some methods that the community uses?

I call people up depending solely on stats. Yes I still have the 5 star rating thing up.. but I look at his attributes and his stats, mostly stats.. If he isnt producing at a certain level he stays there until he does, or I cut him. If he is a 5 star potential guy and he is stuck in the minors for what i think is too long I try to sell him high before he gets too old and teams realize what I feel..that he is a bust.. I had one guy I signed out of free agency. 5 star potential guy that had huge potential for contact, fielding, and speed. He never developed in the minors and wouldn't hit more than .250. So i traded him before he got too old for another prospect who might actually pan out..
