Oh, I get you. Thanks for clarifying. And yeah, we all know why managers and GM's are doing what they do these days. Except this is the World Series and the final game of the year. If I'm managing the Astros, Grienke is still in there and if he bombs, then I can at least hold my head up high.

I want 2 go 2 bed so bad, but I'm afraid I'm going 2 miss something in the last 2 innings. Curse this brain!

So maybe there is a bit of know-it-all condescension in what I said. Even so, I'll add this: I would like to think that I would have the courage of my convictions. Never mind. You can hibernate all winter like a raccoon like Westheim (do raccoons hibernate?) This is too exciting a game to turn off.

I get the second-guessing / Monday-morning quarterbacking. But, yes, I agree. Grienke very-likely had 10-15 pitches left in him.

Yes, surprisingly for a New Yorker, I have enjoyed this Series. These two teams belong here, for sure.

This ump sucks. I'm ready to do the bidding of our future robot overlords.

Correa strikeout: Yes, we need a robo-ump calling balls and strikes. I am convinced now. (Actually, I was convinced a while ago, but here is another example, obvious on the overhead shot.)
Heh, we saw it clearly from our armchairs, CM!

Martinez faced a similar decision (as Hinch did with Grienke) as to whether or not to leave Corbin in for a 3rd inning. Buck & Smoltz assumed he was gone after 2. I was thinking they should leave him in. He's pitching well, and has starter-stamina in him. The next guy might not pitch as well...
Worked out for the Nats. But it might not have... |

EDIT: Woof. I think it may be moot now.

Looks like Washington has it. If the Astros come back, you guys can feel free to tease & ridicule me as much as you like so I can see it in the morning. Night, night.

If the Nationals win this minus Harper it certainly doesn't help the argument that $300M contracts are worth it.

Which is why I agreed with what you said in the Yankees thread.
